nba 2k11 - my player

Hmmm just realised how bad that sounds saying "I added 3 inches"... :lol: ;) I'll have another Herbert Hill My Player at some stage like I did last year :D

Yeah I just have the 1 left, and I suck at getting steals...so I can see me My Playering much more now :) Man do Utah suck though in those challenges...they only created 5 of their team...but I digress, wrong thread.
 
Apparently athletic is the best to start on. I'm going to be either a SG or SF.

So excited. My house is getting completely revamped, we've had analog SD TV for like the last 10 years, in about a month getting a new HD one and a new entertainment unit. By then my exams will be over and I can smash out some 2K11 as well :)

i havent seen any actual contracts, or even any form of money negotiation which would be irrelevant, but still good. it was just announced in the press conferance i got a 1 year deal.





and as far as choosing your type of player, i had my first go as an athletic PG, but wanted to have another crack at the summer league so went a shooting or scoring (forget what they called it) PG, which i modeled to my exact height and weight. i found it good coz i could instantly get buckets which helps make a difference and then ive upgrading my defence and athletisim as i go to make me fairly well balanced...although defence still needs alot of work....its hard when im 6 foot and they keep pushing me into SG position and i gotta guard people much bigger then me!!!
 
Started Last night after getting the game yesterday, PS3. Playing 10min qtrs on Pro. I choose a Athletic Scoring guard and in the first game of the combine had 22 points, 6 reb and 3 assists. Rated at Pick 27 Rd 1 at the moment, Timberwolves, ugh.
Great Game.

You'd be loving that you can play with Oakley both as a younger Bull and a Knick wouldn't you? :D

Other note:
Played my 1st game of the Summer Circuit last night. Started SG for the Kings. I'm a 6'3 3pt Specialist and using 12min quarters (cause I like real time ;) ) Scored 35, 9 boards 3 assists a steal and block in 35mins of action. 54% from the field but a dismal 37% from the line and 4 turnovers. However we won in OT! I'd have had more assists if Tyreke Evans could shoot...

I only just changed to 12min quarters though...I used the normal 5mins in the pre-draft games...which is probably why I only got drafted Round 2.
 
Haven't even had a look around the game properly yet, but that is awesome. Side Note: My SG is named Charles Oakley.

Yeah 8 is good...was asking cause I felt last night that 12 was probably a little too much...but then 5 sucks, particularly if you're only a 1 quarter on the court player...
 
I am playing on 8 mins, but I am going to adjust the simmed minutes to be 12 because I am leading the league in rebounds with 9. that means that my team will be bottom of all the scoring stats but that my stats should be on a level playing field with the other players in the league.
 
I played 5 min quarters in Combine and Summer Leagues but adjusted to 12 minute games in the NBA cos the stats were not reflecting what they should have been IMO! I love it and am having major withdrawals cos I havent played it in 2 days! :lol:
 
yeah it sucks when you cant play it! my gf cracks it if i hog the lounge room too much!! i been playing on 5min default mode games, been meaning to bump it up though was gonna do 7min but if everyone is finding 8min realistic ill do that. is simulated games on 12min?
 
I got home yesterday ready to play (10 games deep into the season already)...went to load the game .......corrupt file/ damage file :( not sure how it happened but i might of turned my 360 off at the wrong time.

Had to start fresh last night. Oh well maybe this time ill get drafted 1st round (currently projected pick 26 with thunder...2 games deep into combine)
 
i play 12 min quarters on sim play style, (as oppsoed to default, slighty different sliders)
im a slasher SG, high layup and mid range game..

game difficulty is set on all-star..

i find this gives the best stats/scores. very realistic.
 
I got my endorsement letter about 20 games ago, been going real well since then, 10 and 10 off the bench as a Centre, and still no billboards or anything. Jordan just doesnt love me.
