My holy grail!

The one problem I have with grading is what are the qualifications of the person/s to grade the cards? Then are those qualifications recognised and transferable for instance can a person work for CGA then move to Becketts?

+1. Also what skills/qualifications do they have to authenticate the cards.

I see on the Australian companies website they have a unique 100 point certification process, just on that alone they have different standards to grade let alone certify signatures. Where do they get the sample signatures from to compare, way to many questions and not enough answers.

former select employees perhaps ????? lol

Actually when I first started reading this thread I got onto the CGA website to ask what are they qualifications to grade, certify and/or authenticate cards / signatures. Will be interesting to see the response. Also looked at Becketts.com, nothing on their I could find about their qualifications or standards.

Those guys are qualified. I have looked at that before. There is some sort of course you do in the US. They also are a bigger business with bigger resources. For example they have a huge database of signatures and they plot them over the years. E.g. what a player signature looked like at age 21 all the way to 60.

Nice indeed, what would be better is a standard, Becketts do it different to PSA who poop all over CGA.
