My bigboydsportscards3 problems

lol, thats some funny crap. My whole point from the start bargey is that Dropselling is a way of life on Ebay......like it or not. Without it Ebay would be a shadow of what it is. If you have a problem with that, then you shouldn't buy on there. The Seller is responsible for ensuring a quality product.......and when they dont, they need to rectify it. As much as you whine about it, if he is giving a FULL REFUND he has met that obligation. As for an interest in Boyd....man if he has ripped u fellas off and countless others, the dude needs a beating....I hate theives asmuch as the next guy. I just try to be the voice of reason, since it seems weird that he would offer a full refund, plus pay the cost of shipping it back.....about $18US. Nothing against Locky, but IM sure it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see its not UD factory sealed......and if u do open it up....its pretty dodgy when u pull literally nothing. Why would a guy who has built up a great reputation, been reliable for good product in the past......start pissing money down the toilet through Ebay fee's. Paypal fee's, shipping fee's.....on a chance to make a little bit extra. For every box he might sell there would be more unhappy Im sure. Just seems like the old addage INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY is fair. Seems like the best idea is to steer clear of him all together.

Lol, it's funny to read about this. To me, it seems pretty obvious that the seller doesnt know what he's selling. (hence the use of Drop-Shipping).

If you order a DVD online thru Amazon.com where does it come from???? They are not responsible for who sells the product, nor the quality or even for knowing if it's a legit copy!!

They are an online SOURCE for online stores who you can purchase thru....

Same situation here me thinks.

Sure, there's something dodge going on, but I'm not convinced that it's the sellers fault, nor his responsibility.

EDIT: Yes, the seller should have some responsibilty, and he is showing, and acting out his duties to assume his responsibility. (it wasnt the word I was looking for..... hence my edit).

I have no personal interest for BigBoydSports, but I dont see the point in shooting them down like this...

If I were a box seller, selling on ebay, and you bought a box, and I placed an order for you to receive your product, how would I know what legitimacy the product would have? I wouldnt. Would you shoot me down too? (probably).

lol.

Just think about it before critisising someone so harshly.....

Imagine if you were in the same situation as the seller..................

Wouldn't happen, I only list shit that I have in my hands.

People don't realise that the money someone has spent on that box not being in the buyer's possession over that period of time costs them money. You lose interest on it for the time in the bank, when you get the refund back you lose out on currency conversion, and you lose the freedom of having to have been able to use that money in the 6-8 weeks it would take to get all the shit sorted out.

As for the Amazon analogy, I think you'd find Amazon would deal with reputable companies that they fully research and monitor, unlike this joker.

to bad for the seller as far as i am concerned, i am sure you wouldn't have the same view if it was you being ripped off.

Nah I would as I've delt with him and he is great from previous experiance. All will be fixed so in the end I get my box. I'd be a bit pissed about it all but its only an inconveniance in the end. YOU jump up and down when you get a box and DON'T get anything done about it OR open it when you shouldn't.

Yes, I think it will all work out
I posted all 3 boxes back at my expense and was refunded to my paypal account last week, when Terry Boyd received the boxes.
He offered a refund of the purchase price and I explained that it was my preference for him to obtain and send out to me factory sealed versions of the boxes I had won.
Much to his credit he has done this, and he emailed me this morning to advise that the boxes were being posted to me Monday.
So that's a good effort by him. :)

That's the best outcome you could've hoped for. Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention. I think the upside to this whole episode is that we will all be a little bit more observant before tearing of the plastic wrap of our boxes!!=D>

Simply put, members of this board should now vote with their feet and avoid any and all business transaction with bigboydsportscards3. I know I will be

Im sure he wouldnt mind not having your business dude. The guy offered a full refund........and then catered to Locky's wants of replacing box for box.....thats great service. Be lucky to find to many seller's that would go to that extent to make it right. If anything he has only proven more that he is good to deal with.

The guy has done the best possible thing he can...exactly what locky the customer wants!?! Isn't that enough...yeah it took longer and was much more of a hassle, but he's not getting the dud end of the deal.

That's a very shortsighted approach.

I've dealt with this guy before, and I've never had any problems. He resolved Locky's issue, and has gone above and beyond what 99% of sellers on eBay will ever do.

Sounds like a good result in the end. I personally have bought a couple of high end cards off this guy "offline" and there was no funny business involved.

i had a problem with a box of UD SPGU 05-06, got a some what of a refund cause i had already opened the box. It quite obvious that this seller searches boxers and sells the good cards as singles and puts the average cards back in the boxers. I would have no problem buying a single card from him but i would never buy a box from him ever again.

Hmm.. how come his scans don't have logos on the seal?

Is that not a logo over the "D" in Game-UseD?

Andrew - Read the rest of the thread. He sells boxes that are "Drop Shipped". He only sees 10% of the boxes that he sells. I think it would be far more likely that one of his "suppliers" opened the box. And if you're so worried about him searching and re-sealing boxes, why would you then support this practice by buying singles off him??

Everyone has their own opinion about wether they would buy from this guy or not. Personally I think he has provided exceptionally customer service, but he now has a dodgy supplier that he needs to deal with so it doesn't happen again. If it continues to happen then obviously he doesn't know which supplier it is or he hasn't taken any steps to stop it from happening.

I buy my boxes from Bruce at oc, and though it sometimes takes a bit longer, all boxes ordered go through him first. Personal at his location make sure ordered boxes are as they should be and then he sends them out. Top class business with Bruce!

How much do they usually charge for a couple of boxes to Australia? I emailed them the other day but they still haven't replied yet and I want to get a couple
