My most sought after Gilmore of his entire checklist arrived today!!!


But first let's get the other A-Trains out the way...

Now to Black Box:

Both /10 (one blue ink, one black ink)

Only missing the Gilmore/Rodman/Mullin HOF triple auto /25......one sold a month ago, I thought I'd wait for the second one to pop up....but that's the only one I have seen!! If anyone finds one please let me know.



Glass cleaners platinum #1/1!!!

Which makes up the only possible complete Glass Cleaners Gilmore parallel set:
Top row: base /149, silver /99, silver /49
Middle row: gold /99, gold /49, gold /24
Bottom row: platinum /25, platinum /5, platinum 1/1

And now.......my A-Train white whale!!!!



Not long after starting this Gilmore PC I went through his entire checklist and one card stood out above all others as the one I wanted to track down the most.
About 2 weeks ago I did my 50,000th random Gilmore Google search to see what might pop up and I managed to find the link to an ended ebay auction from mid-2009 for my white whale! It was for eBay Philippines, seller was attyball, but the worry was that the buyer had no feedback at all for the past 12 months.
Anyway I sent the guy a message through ebay with a link to my Gilmore bucket telling him I was desperate to track down the card. To my surprise he replied the next morning - yes, he still had the card, he is an NBA legends collector, but after seeing my bucket he was happy to sell to me!!
We agreed on a price, I had to pay via Western Union which worried me a bit, but he said he had stopped using eBay and had closed his Paypal account.
Anyway he posted via DHL express on Friday.......and the card arrived in my letterbox this morning!!!

The "Attyball" group also had a lot of other people selling and busting wax etc etc, some of it legit I believe, but the majority of it was with embezzled money... At the end of the day there is A LOT, I MEAN A LOT! of collectors, including big time players that have cards from this group... At the end of the day, if it hasn't been seized then it isn't stolen property in the eyes of the law in that country!

A hell of a lot more then 50 cases.....

And everyone thats been collecting longer then 5 minutes,or collecting high end stuff knows all of this, has heard it 10 times over and this person doesn't deserve to even be talked about......

The guy I dealt with (not Attyball, he was the one who originally sold it to this guy back in 2009....in a very above board deal that i'm sure was 100% legitimate LOL) paid for half the express shipping and was easy to negotiate with on price.....although I made the first offer which was comfortably above what i would consider market rates - he was well rewarded for his generosity in letting the card go. The Western Union money order also cost me an extra $20.

I am well aware of attyball's history, which is exactly why I mentioned who the original seller was....I have also corrected my post, attyball sold to the guy I bought from, and this guy has not used ebay in over 12 months, I was not referring to attyball's ebay habits. They have still been selling recently on ebay anyway, so i'm not sure how that works given their colourful history in the hobby and with the law.


Anyway thanks for the kind words fellas, definitely a great day for my collection!
