mattyj said:That argument makes no sense JZA, so youre saying that nobody should charge shipping costs on top of their base cost? Ridiculous.
By what youre saying that would mean a card shop for example buys a case of cards for lets say $1000us (for 12 boxes) Shipping would cost them say $50 (just guessing never bought a case ) so thats $1050 for 12 boxes
By your logic they should sell each box for $83.33US (or $116.67aus) and not factor in the cost of shipping? thats stupid
Shipping has to be included in the cost of things otherwise everyone will end up selling for a loss and people will stop selling
(and i know you said boxes are different but they were easier to work as an example)
JZA said:no mattyj, if you bothered to read my posts you would have understood that is not what i was saying at all. the example of boxes once again is stupid, 2 completely different commodities.
i dont know how much simpler it can be explained...everyone here on ozcards pays the ACTUAL cost of postage ie $2AU for a card. if i bought a card from us ebay where i got charged something like $10US postage, does that mean i should factor that cost in when selling the card? just my opinion, but i dont believe so, its tough shit that i got overcharged but that doesnt mean i should overcharge someone else right? unless you are happy to pay too much cos a seller is trying to recoup their costs plus make some profit on top? that might be the reality out in the real world, but in this community i would like to think we treat everyone else as a friend and fellow collector rather than a customer.
Richo said:JZA - In response to your question in bold above - That's up to the individual to decide !!! If they were to charge the same price on the card as they bought it for an charge $10 postage cause that is what they paid then that would be a different story but EVERYONE is allowed to charge what THEY think is a fair price on THEIR CARDS ! The argument that I was putting up was that someones FOR SALE thread IS NOT the place to be arguing about such things.....PM the person or start a thread in heated discussions.....I think all three Admins will agree with that

read that post kyle. then tell me your not being hypocritical.
"So let me just put it this way if you dont want the card, do not comment on someone's price of the card. Just butt out and move on guys..."
sorry but thats exactly what youve done here, and what everyone else does when they open up one of these threads where a guy is selling a card for a high price on ebay. and Graham said exactly the same thing in the first sale thread. yet it seems exactly as shoes has said, because it is chadjaja, then no ones opinion is allowed but for someone on ebay its open season.
its got nothing to do with the price of the card, whether selling a common for $20 is more or less of a rip off than selling an auto for $50 is completely irrelevant. its the fact that opinion is disallowed for one situation, but completely acceptable for another.
Magicman said:Jezza my man where to begin. This i beleive is a card disscussion thread, is it not? Thats why we can voice our opinions in here on certain issues and so, so..
I cant recall the "For Sale" forum saying, that EVERYONE PLEASE POST YOUR OPINIONS HERE TOO, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE CARD. ALSO YOU CAN CLAIM PEOPLE FOR MAKING PROFITS. GET IN NOW AND START ACCUSING.
Its not the fact that its Chad mate, i dont care who is it. If its a member from here we look after them.
I have deleted many of posts where people have voiced opinions on cards in the for sales forum. But to "pick" on someone for a lousy $10 lol is pretty lame, acussing on here is just not permitted.
Please take this into account, thanks Magicman.
