LIVE BOX BREAK!!! - 2005-06 SP Authentic AT 9:30AM Melbourne Time

Just like his stats!

Uh-oh... I'll get flamed for that :D
From Yahoo Sports:

"After T.J. Ford failed to get a shot off before the final buzzer, Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut kicked the ball the length of the court in disgust."

Maybe he is in the wrong sport? :D

I think Bogut has had a pretty good rookie season so far and he will continue to be a solid player. He was never going to be a flashy high scoring superstar (like what Chris Paul may become), more a player that will do the hard work and help his side win.

I would be happy to see him get more of a chance on the offensive end of the floor (i.e. run a few offensive plays for him) but apart form that I could see him developing into a 12 points 10 rebounds a game sort of player.

Cheers
Matt

Well everyone I must confess.......I faked my reflections box break too....[-X

I mean who would ever believe that I pulled a Von Wafer Auto and a Pau Gasol Purple from the same box of reflections. Im sorry, I was only looking for acceptance from anthonypoweranthony in the hope he would send me a Lebron auto and a Kobe auto #/100 for these 2 rare and valuable cards.

Please forgive me!

In all seriousness, this guy must be a tool. At least the last guy didnt try and post fake pictures from ebay. The cards only fell out of his pocket.

This guy has less credibility than a Today Tonight reporter..........BAN HIM!

As Bert says on family Feud.......Survey Says....Boom Boom.

y'know, i feel kind of sorry for this guy a little. I've newly re-entered the hobby, and when i come in here and see some of the amazing cards some of you guys own, i have to admit it's a little daunting!

I can kind of understand how some poor kid would want to be a part of an elite group of collectors like you guys, so much so that they might grasp at a questionable opportunity to appear as one. I don't think it's okay or that it should be excused, but i think that banning him for it is a very easy way for him to get off and go do irresponsible stuff like this again in the future somewhere else.

Is giving him an option to explain his reasons and make an apology in order to remain part of our community something we could look at here? I'm sure that if he values this resource even half as much as any of the rest of us, he'll already be kicking himself and wondering how he can take back this stupid mistake.

Obviously there needs to be some sort of punishment, but could it perhaps be something like an addition to his profile or something similar? Something that lets people be aware that he's made a mistake (because i know i don't want to trade for his BOGUT AU in future!) but doesn't mean we get rid of him all together? Maybe 2 strikes and you're out?

that's just my opinion guys...

It's your own fault for having too damn many fantastic cards!

pvtryan.
our last fake breaker was given immediate expultion so why should this guy be any different. Him trying to fit in with the big guys by fooling everyone that he just pulled two awesome cards from a box is decitful and not allowed on oz cards. Rules are made not be broken. What he did was childish and a waste of people's time. I personally dont like people getting the boot either man but you must understand that some times we have to put our foot down hard to prevent it from happening on a regular basis or EVER again. Its his own fault and you dont have to defend him for what ever reason.

Pvtryan. I would think this is a great place whether you are a high end collector or just starting out. Compared to other places you aLWAYS get a great greeting here and cards are appreciated for what they mean to the collector not BV or card cred etc. I could post a common card I love and still get "Nice card Chad" becaue collectors here are encouraging. I've sent many a card to others to help them out for free and so have other members. We are all too well aware that when we started out or were younger that we couldn't get all the cards we wanted too.

I'd hate to think that people think they need high value cards to be a member here. Thats not what ozcards is about at all and if you think like that I think you have missed the point made on the boards.

The suspension will not be for lifetime but if it turns out to be fake he will get one for a while.

I did not fake it. I really got the Bogut/Williams Dual auto and Felton. Its just that I don't have scanner, so I took the scans off of Ebay to show you how the cards look. I looked at Ebay to see have much the card would sell for. I am really sorry if I made anyone mad.

If you didnt fool us how come the scan shows the serial # of the pics from Ebay? Get it right, man!

Well the Felton is numbered the same as the eBay one too.

If its obvious you have faked it. We don't need you to waste our time here. Have a little holiday and good think on whether you want to come back and be member that contributes to our good forum.

One month.

man, how easy was it to pick this one...

*groan*

some of the negs to becoming a big site...though the positives far out weigh the negs...the mods/admin do a great job!

you can't fake a serial number chrisbosh#4 if its numbered 14/50 it means 14/50 there aint no second 14/50 .. get it

This is what's good with serial #d cards. It makes the card a 1/1 in itself :D No one can say that "oh I have that one as well" :-)

i agree 100% chad, your absolutely right. Everyone on the boards SHOULD be hearing this, because this is the truth.

At first when i came here, i had nothing, about 5,000 commons from when i was 5 years old, and i did feel a little bit pressured. I bought up heaps of whatever i wanted, mainly from thumbb (but that's not the point) and i struggled for acceptance a bit. But that's not what collectings about. If your not happy with what you have, maybe you shouldn't be collecting. I'm not a working man, i'm not even a man yet (boy! not women!) and i don't have enough money to afford 200-300+ ebay auctions, the highest i've ever bid an item has been 120 and that's been outta my pocket savings. But more seriously, guys here are understanding and encouraging, this is a community, everyone is valued for who they are and what you like, as long as your encouraging, understanding and patient to others.

There was a time when i was feeling a bit crap compared to you guys, because you all got so much, but that's not the way to go, collectings for yourself, not other people. Guys here encouraged me (Pete, Trey, Scotty, Henkita) and i don't think i've ever been part of a thing like this, where people are so encouraging and helpful not to mention trustworthy, when they don't even know you, they haven't met you etc.

Anyway, i think we should leave Chris Bosh#4 now, as he's not able to see what we're typing, but you guys get what i mean. What he did isn't exscusable, but i think the whole thing is over. It was definately very childish here, besides, lil_pharm and I are probably the two youngest users here, but it's quite amazing, because i've done 14 "official" deals, and probably another 20 which haven't been posted and all of them have been done properly, people wouldn't expect me to be a teenager.

I have to agree with chad... There is no way I would hang around this place, if I felt like there was pressure to produce awesome high end cards all the time.... Fact is I barely collect the sort of players (apart from KG and maybe Marbury and my two 05/06 rookies in Marvin and Rashad) to really be able to produce high end cards anyway....

That's what I find so great about this place, so far it appears to me that most people are welcoming and and encouraging who ever you collect whether it be AI, KG, Kobe, Lebron or Majiic Dorsey ;)

Without the eclectic tastes of a place like this it would be boring... I for one (maybe its just me) would get very bored always seeing Kobe this and Lebron that.... I like seeing the variety in tastes people have... and the differences... I for one am stoked for every single common Isaiah Rider card I get my hands on... and am confident for the most part that I won't be ridiculed for that.... (mostly cos yer all rubbing your hands with glee at the easy mark LMAO).

So while I feel bad for anyone who may feel the need to fake a box break or mail day or anything like that, because obviously their self esteem is low - it is not on! I too have a low self esteem; hwoever, you don't see me pulling this stuff.

But yeah, mostly this is just actually a thanks to everyone for being so supportive of my dorky collection ;) and for guys like Lippo and Truth for being patient with me with the deals we have made.

And I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.... but better than starting a whole new thread ;)

Hehe. I blame Hendra and Scotty for setting very high expectations on maildays and Ruckers/Lippo etc for the box breaks.. SHAME ON YOU GUYS!!! Now everyone's pressured to pull/buy expensive cards!! Tsk Tsk! ;)

Yeah I hope this will be a lesson to ChrisBosh #4 and the rest of the newer members. There is no "Im the best card collector" in this forum. We're all here to help each other with their collections. Some are just more serious than the others and therefore get more expensive cards than most of us. But that's not a reason to feel bad and to fake card hauls/box breaks.
