here's my view on it - the reason hunt got everyones goat was that he originally said he'd rather play for Q'land than the kiwis - no mention of the Oz team. A few took exception to playing for a state rather than a country - Mark Geyer was one who thought that was a joke. Being a kiwi my whole life - I couldn't give a fat rats who they choose to play for. Guys like Mason and Thurston are aussies in my book - doesn't matter where they were born. they sound like aussies and have no real connection to NZ. IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW YOU'RE BROUGHT UP. Benji was brought up a kiwi IN aussie so when he hit the big time he was always gonna be a kiwi. I knew a guy who lived in my city till he was 9 then went to Perth till the age of 30 - he considers himself a kiwi - unfortunatley he sucks at sport!!
Axeman - I wouldn't mind doing that swap by the way.
To finish off - it does sound weird having a guy called Timana Tahu in the aussie team!

lol i enjoyed the game only because i have a nz guy living with us and he got cut. also he tried to say that lockyer and tahu were both born in nz lockyer in otago especially. little did he know i knew lockyer's from roma and tahu born in melbourne. lol good game though. great conversion by big ben kennedy :) know for some salt into this guys wounds :) lol
