Latest Movie/DVD you've seen, and what would you rate it...

I saw "Syriana" last Friday and "Firewall" last night with Bobbi.

I personally found "Syriana" boring, but was quite educational if you have interest in politics and a bit of religion. Not worth the $10 though. Might as well watch a doco on SBS.

"Firewall" was very entertaining, even if it had some lame parts. Harrison Ford can still pull a good performance. The "villain" was very good in his portrayal of the enemy and can make you feel angry at him. Definetely worth $10 if you're up for some good suspense/action.

We watched Doom last night.

Not a bad movie at all. I wasnt sure what to expect, being that it's taken off of the game and all.

There's a FPS scene that looks SIC!!!!

Overall, 4/5. Tough, action packed, and the "monsters" looked great!

Also saw Frankenstein on Monday night. It's different. Not based on the "big monster" that ever other movie portrays.

Basically this scientist gets too into his work, and discovers he can recreate life, with electrical charge.

He robs a few graves of body parts, stitches them together, and creates Franky.

I wont say no more from there, but it's worth the watch if you like the "monster" movies. (Van Helsing, Frankenstien, etc)

2-part movie (like it was made for TV for a 2-nighter).

3/5 - needed more action, or something for me.

Few movies seen in the last week-

Saw 2- Awesome movie!! Had no idea till the very last few minutes what was happening, like i thought i knew but i had no idea! Very Very Good movie!

Four Brothers-
Really good story about 4 brothers two black two white, all adopted to a lovely young lady, they come back to their home twon detroit because of their adoption mum had been killed so they try get down to the bottom of who killed her.

Flightplan-
Jodie Foster movie, she boards a plane with her daughter and after a short nap she wakes up to find her daughter is missing. She is going crazy trying to find her daughter on this plane but then gets told by the captain and staff that there is no record of her daughter ever boarding the plane with her and noone on the plane believes they saw her with the daughter. Cant give to much away.
Good psycological Thriller

saw "When A Stranger Calls" last night.. i must admit i wasnt to pleased with it.. i'd prob give it a 2 out of 5 as far as scary goes.. but damn the main chick in it was kinda hot lol

Just seeing the ads for When A Stranger Calls freaked me out I am such a big girls blouse when it comes to scary/thriller sort of movies.....

I really need to get out and see some more movies though.

Ive heard that movie when a stranger calls is very bad lol
I laugh every time when i hear the trailer for it on tv.
Hollywood scarey movie voice guy -
" 10 dollars an hour"
" Kids al ready asleep"
" Food in the fridge" lololol
What could possible go wrong"

Finally saw Wedding Crashers, was pretty good i love Vince Vaughn. 3.5/5 only downside was that it dragged a little too long.

Saw "Inside Man" last night starring Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster and Clive Owens (i think?).

It was pretty good! 8.5/10.

Watched A History of Violence last Sat, and it was good! Vigo displays some fantastic acting! Hint: Watch his eyes! I'd give it 4/5. Very slow to start off with then chaos ensues, fits perfectly with his character. The changeover is very close to Dusk Till Dawn standards. See this one people!

Saw Ice Age 2: The Meltodown last night. They said in the reviews it was better than the first, but I have to say I laughed a bit more at the first one, this one has a better story line though. Very smart and great visuals! 4/5.

Not to mention the Simpsons movie add, albeit it lasted only 5 seconds!

i borrowed a few dvds off my cousin on the weekend:

Coach Carter 4/10: "Rich-what? Richmond! Rich-what? Richmond!" soooo corny and predictable but some decent basketball scenes. went too long (about 2hrs 15mins) could have easily cut 45 mins or so out.

Bloodsport 4/10: i used to love this movie when i was 10, sad to say it hasnt held up over the years.

White Men cant jump 7.5/10: surprisingly still a great movie after the 100th time watching it, woody and wesley are a great pairing, and the dialogue is hell funny, good bball scenes too.

LOL Bloodsport! We got that a few weeks back, it's great huh! And to think they went on to make another 3.... and they were all SHIT!

Watched New Police Story last night. Awesome modern Jackie Chan movie. He's still got it, and man is he fast!!!

Excellent movie, awesome camera work, and action scenes.

4.5/5 easy.
