As great as he is, he wouldn’t have done with celtics . Stat wise maybe yes but championship no. He was very spoiled in LA. SHAQUILLE, NASH, HOWARD, GASOL, WORLD PEACE, ODOM. I don’t doubt his talent but others like mcgrady and iverson maybe Malone or Barkley would have gotten championships if they have a management like LA.

I'm no fan of Kobe, but this makes me laugh.
Okay, Shaq helped him win or Kobe helped Shaq, I don't care. But lets be honest, Gasol and MWP did very little to build the KB name. And Nash and Howard are doing their best to bring it down.
I just thought this was funny to try and take credit off KB because he had someone like DW and SN.

I tend to agree with what the writer is saying, and in that first 3 peat with shaq it wasnt just kobe and shaq it was a whole team of solid players who could contribute, the next back to back he had Gasol who was arguably in his prime, bynum who was finally playing well and a host of other guys to help out. I doubt he owuld of done the same thing with other teams, especially if he switched places with iverson or mcgrady.

I agree with Shaq and to a lesser amount Gasol, but yes Gasol gets very little credit for his efforts.
But those other 4 guys have done nothing to create the icon that is KB.

Well said Kiwi, these three weren't chumps. In fact they all were top ten defensive players when in their prime for me.
For me, Chicago was a team that never played defense, only attack.
They either attacked the basket or attacked the ball.

Hell the Bulls even had Kerr, Kukoc and Ron Harper was no mug.

I totally agree, I mean Magic had Kareem and Worthy + more, Bird had a heap of HOF'ers too.

Hakeem had some great players around.

Probably only c ouple of teams stand out that haven't been loaded are the Pistons championship teams.

yep...a dynasty isn't built around one superstar, kobe, mj, magic, bird, kareem all had some pretty good players around them...
