heard this on SEN today... very interesting... either the bloke can seriously play OR its simply incredible marketing

i bet everyone everywhere now knows there's an afl footy team starting soon!

Honestly, who cares?

He is just an overpaid, overrated player who has been stuffing his club and the NRL around for too long with his inability to make a decision.

i totally agree he is so over rated, he had a couple of good seasons as a rookie but that was when the broncos had all there stars playing since then he has failed to go that step further i feel.

besides he turned his back on his country (NZ) to play the aussies so turning his back on the game that gave him a name is of no surprise.

i think this is awesome! another win for afl haha. this is just another new part for the afl/gold coast.

one of the first things i think of is..what if someone has a collection of karmichael hunt, and collected him. i think it would be one of the most interesting collections, especially because he will have an early gold coast card.

Great work ethic, Solid and Smart player.......i would be filthy if i supported the Broncos, however he was leaving anyway so it doesnt really matter where he went.
He will put bums on seats for a while, however once the novelty wears off, you just have a nobody eating up valuable cap space......sorta sounds like the Sharks come to think of it.

I don't know, I am just not that filthy about KH switching codes, not now anyway...........K is eating up a sizable chunk of the salary cap for the Broncos but I really don't think we are getting value for money ATM.

K has a great work ethic but I honestly think that he has reached a level in his game that would benefit from a new challenge.

Now as a side issue we as NRL fans not only have to worry about our players showing loyalty to their clubs BUT now we have to worry about showing loyalty to the code itself. In the words of an ex-Bronco who turned to Union playing for the QLD Reds and has now signed for NSW 'it was purely a business decision'

Well it seems to be that its all about the marketing. If he can get a game great, but if not the GC has probably had more mentions in the QLD press in the last day than it did for the rest of the month.

And we may have found a team that Chad hates more than the Lakers
