Yeah it bugs me when people beat up on the police force as a whole. It's a risky job with s#%& hours and the pay is not that great. They don't only get scrutinized by their own internal systems but they constantly face a public calling them pigs, scum or corrupt. They go to work a night shift knowing there's a possibility they could be shot, stabbed, bottled, have rocks thrown at them or spat on. I can't blame them for wanting to be paid well.
And i speak as someone who was the victim of a theft, lost everything and the culprits were never caught. Sometimes s#%& just happens.
