Jordan commons auction sold for big bucks?

Not sure why that much.

They are inserts and most sell for about AU$5-20 each I would have thought so maybe $1000 may have been a reasonable price???

Couldn't see any rare low numbered inserts in that lot.....maybe the Titanium but I do not think that was a low numbered one.

Ersk

What are you smoking? They are inserts, some of which sell for decent prices.... hardly commons.

Saying that.... $3k still seems like too much from what I can see..

really some of those cards can get $5, Ersk is right I think $1000 would of been more realistic, $3000 in these times I would say he might of got $3000 ten years ago or maybe the BV price for them is $3000 but for the market price or ebay, really

Look there are some nice cards there but nothing really over the $80US Beckett Value from what I can recall.
I can tell you right now who that buyer was who purchased it at $3,000US???? And it was even an Aussie fella too, from Sydney to be even more precise. Most eBay member's buying Michael Jordan cards would have heard of hanizena, in fact 95% of his listings are more or less of Michael Jordan cards. And the fella actually gets some very very good and high final bids on even the most common of Michael Jordan card, and no shill bidding either they're all in fact genuine bids. Because he's sold to over 1,000 worldwide, his username is very well known for finding usually not bad to fairly high-end Michael Jordan cards, so his username is saved in so many peoples 'ebay favourite sellers".
e.g. If hanizena and another ebay seller(say with 500 feedback) were to list the exact same card at exactly the same time, we'll say a 1993-94 UpperDeck LOCKER TALK BV$40US, hanizena's listing would sell for say $40AUS while the other sellers listing would sell for $15 or even $20 on a really good day.
Well anyways, yeah it was hanizena.

P.S. I hope there is nothing wrong in me saying this, if there is can somebody please inform me so I can edit and change my comments above. Thanks

Anyone want to know there were only 2 offers

User ID Offer Price Offer Status Date of Offer

a***i ( 1560Feedback score is 1000 to 4,999) US $3,000.00 Accepted 29-Mar-09 18:55:45 AEDST

e***o ( 2324Feedback score is 1000 to 4,999) US $450.00 Declined 29-Mar-09 12:48:18 AEDST

I think the $450 offer was more true market price maybe just alittle under the price but it sold for $3000 and its a good thing that people are spending ;)

Thanks for the insight needforspeed...he's probably banking on that fact that he can flip it around. He won a similar auction MICHAEL JORDAN INSERTS CARD LOT - eBay (item 260376659982 end time Mar-14-09 23:31:40 PDT) so he must think he's getting a good deal, who knows.

I can see a couple of cards in there out of the 108 card lot that would normally sell for more than $15...the Slam Cam $110, the Skyview $40, the Titanium $70, Scoring Kings $35...that's about it. Most of the other inserts are low end inserts although I'm not the local Jordan expert (cue jordan23 to emerge from his banned camp). At most, like most said, $1000 on an individual sale value, but on a lot, you'd be expecting a discount, not a 3 X premium but who knows..

Yeh actually I forgot about the Slam Cam, yeh thats probably the best card there. With the other lot exzibit3 pointed out, man thats not such a good deal I think though. But hey, you got the money then you got the cards. I think selling them off individually is gonna bring him some pofit on each of the $3,000 lots, but my guess is maybe $4,000. And thats also without the ebay and paypal fees that are going to also come in between. I wouldn't mind a couple of them cards though.

Who's Jordan23 and what has he done?? Or was he another scam seller? If he was, then he is another low-life out there too.

LOL nah Ray aka jordan23 is a Jordan fanatic, who while is an alright bloke, he just steps on too many people's toes while he was on this forum by his antics i.e. ignoring warnings from mods about posting results in titles, low-balling on his offers and wanting top dollar for his cards, posting about a gazillion Jordan related threads, giving just the worst advice and opinions on Jordan cards while proclaiming he was the local Jordan expert etc...so not a scammer, just a tad bit annoying lol.
