Brisbane would be absolutely lost without him. He is just such an integral part up here...I actually think he is underated up here. He just doesn't get the credit. Week in week out he puts in. Unbelieveable.

Jonathan Brown is one of those players. If he was playing for the team you supported you'd love him to pieces, but on an opposition team theres just something about him you'll always hate.

I had a similar feeling with Byron Pickett before he came to Port. Then he came to Port and he was just amazing.

My girlfriend and all her family are from QLD and massive Lions fans, and they dont shut up about him; Im a Cats fan and we won our 15th straight game on the weekend and they are going on about Brown kicking a goal to tie a game like he has just won them another flag ... sounds like are the only Lions fans who do love him!

Maybe for you but as a Melbourne supporter and all round lover of football, there is nothing to dislike about Brown. He's hard at it, fair, not a niggling player, plays full tilt and always gives his all...not to mention he is unstoppable! Can't help but like and respect that.

EDIT: And before anyone has a crack at the 'fair' comment I made, I know full well he goes to the tribuneral a heap, but at least when he hits someone, it's not that unfair attempted hidden crap you get with a Steven Baker/Alan Didak type.

true that about him and the tribuneral but he has pulled his head in the last season or 2.

but since they finally worked out how to get the ball to him from the mid he's unstoppable.

Anyway, back to Brown, probably my favourite non st kilda player in the league, love watching him play, kinda reminds of Wayne Carey the way he plays

I said 'Steven Baker type', nothing to do with this new allogation which I had no thought of in my mind when I stated that. Could have said Simon Godfrey type (if you want a Melbourne Player reference).
