I've Never Seen this Before!!!

Well as some of you guys know im a Phys Ed teacher at a secondary college during a bit of free time this afternoon a very strange incident occured in my year 7 class, two students were shooting 3 pointers against each other from the 15 lines that cross the arc, they were both shooting from the shoulder at about the same point opposite to each other.....i was just standing under the ring giving them some advice on their shots..... they both shot at the same time, both hit the ring at the same time, the balls then made one full rotation around the ring leaning up against each other..... the following picture is how the two balls ended up.....

anyone ever seen this happen before..........20 years of basketball and ive never seen anything like it.........

That's a first for me also, I've seen some crazy shots that get stuck in between the board & ring but nothing like this. THAT'S GOLD.

That would be extremely rare, especially coming from two three-point shots, and moreso if the balls weren't actually "wedged" in there, but came to rest up against each other without bouncing off each other. Interesting!

I couldnt believe it myself, they werent actually wedged in there at all they were just resting up against each other!! the kid went to throw the ball at them to get it down.................i had to tell them to hang on a bit so i could get a photo on my phone!! hahaha

i did see some top 10 plays thing from the NBA last season where a shot from near under the ring went up and the ball was spinning on the back of the ring where it meets the backboard if you know what i mean....and it actually came to rest there when it's stopped spinning!

Was pretty funny to watch....everyone is sitting under the ring waiting for it to fall!! haha

i think it was a Knicks game.....

I remember years ago I was playing with my neighbor, we were playing HORSE and i took a shot, it the back of the room bounced on top of a roof and fell back through the hoop. I did not call "off the roof" so that part didn't count (he had the hoop up against his garage door)

also in high school there was an assembly for basketball and what not so I was late and people were playing showing off for the crowd. a ball rolled to me and the guy said take a shot so I threw up a little past half court and swish right through the hoop. I was cracking up I expected an airball. unfortunaly now I live in the Mountains and have no room for a hoop
