Not sure Billy. But I think the reason we used trackable international is supposedly because both the seller and buyer are then covered by paypal if it doesnt get there.
But we all know how helpful paypal are with sellers....
I can tell you 100% that international registered IS trackable! If you send to the US, you wait around 1 week then use the RPxxxxx number on the USPS website to track it!
If you send to other countries, use their local postal service's website to track. If you can't find it there, auspost can track on their system if ou phone them!

I don't even think they know what they are talking about.
I have sent registered international, and when you type in the tracking #, it comes up "Product not trackable"
When you go in to help, this is what comes up......

When tracking my item online, what does 'product not trackable' mean?
The tracking status ‘Product not trackable’ may be displayed for international items including Registered Post International, Express Post International letters, international air mail, international sea mail and all international articles under 2kg (excluding Pack and Track International and ePacket).
These services do not come with tracking as a standard feature; therefore no track events will be shown. However, for Registered Post International, a signature will be obtained when the item is delivered.
Please visit our tracking service for more information about which domestic and international services are trackable.

I agree with all of you that despite being told that Registered Post is not tracked (in person at the post office and online), when you typed the tracking number into USPS, your parcel is actually tracked. I have done this over 10 times when I was selling off my Jeremy Lin autographs back in 2012.
Filling one of these out for the first time, just on the customs declaration I was going to put "Trading Card", tick "Gift", put in the value, and write the Country of Origin as "USA".
I have always used Registered because it is tracked to the door, it requires a signature and it comes with a level of insurance. I'd never heard of Pack and Track until yesterday when I asked what options I had sending to the US for interests sake.
