ive tested the banner out by replacing it on the home page and it looks fine..
so u wont need to replace anything..
the font color/type of banna can be easily changed..

it will also looks fine on lower sizes..
its just this big atm cause thats the size of the one on your homepage..

anyway, ther is nothing special about our current banner, so anything is really better
 
And there is nothing special about yours. The bogey one took me about 2 minutes to do ..

The answer is NO - there might be a competition for a new banner, we are talking it over and will get back to you. Then we will see what happens when people actually put some sort of effort in.

Please stop saying how great your banner is, it really isnt all that great.

well i never attacked you personally mate, but i can see your class is of a lower echelon than mine..
if thats the way you feel about a member having a bit of fun and trying to help out the site, then you shouldn't be an admin..
its not hard to say "thanks, but no thanks"

anyway, consider the forum free of one "wanker"

BTW.... the melo card in that banner is freakin sweet!! it was on ebay like 2 weeks ago for $2500US Buy it Now. it's an Ultimate Logoman patch Auto 1/1!!! i drooled over it for hours!!

it would probably be up there in my "card i wish i could have" thread!!!
 
Why all the negative comments guys?? All this member did was get excited and tried to help. He didn't know Graham did the Bogey banner. Sure he could of backed off with the spamming of it and got the point a little soonerLOL but it was a genuine attempt to help. Telling him to leave the forum over such an issue is just plain crap and beneath what I thought members here were like. We didn't have to use the banner but.......
 
Agree with Chad. Soon as it was said and done people started paying out on him! C'mon guys we're better than that...I thought so anyway! From my memory noone has ever had a problem with Geelongfan and so what if he was excited about his banner, he didn't need to be put down lke that. He might have been a little pushy and gotten defensive, but hey sort it out, put ego's back in check!

And Graham I thought your comments were fine, he just overreacted. Noone else had to push him, he probably is terribly embarrased and will not come back to the site!
 
just a suggestion guys but if someone designs a new banner, wouldn't it be easier just to have a poll set up where you vote on which banner you like best, that way no one has to comment on banners and it doesn't get personnal.
