Good news, very frustrating when this happens but a great relief when they finally arrive. Problem is, sometimes they never arrive. I actually don't mind paying for registered post anymore, especially if a card or cards are worth a bit or hard to get. I have even sent registered in OZCT trades just to be safe. Bottom line - don't trust Aust Post.
