every time I have taken my car/s to a dealership for a service, something else miraculously goes wrong. Took my 04 Territory GHIA to the Ford dealership because of a recall with the brakes, and decided while it was there it might as well get a service. Get the car back and within 24 hours the electric windows started doing weird **** like randomly going down then back up, or going down and not being able to put them back up. Also the control display thingo (stereo/trip computer/air con screen) kept blacking out randomly. Also the central locking stopped working. It didnt all happen at once, it was panned out over the space of a week. I rang them up and told them what was going on and they wanted to charge me to fix it. Told them they could stick it up their arse and any future services would be going private or basic ones done by myself (past warranty so it doesnt matter). Anyway, I took it to an auto sparky and of course, he couldnt hook into the ECU because Ford dealerships are the only ones with the right equipment. After alot of jumping and screaming I ended up getting everything fixed from Ford without paying a dime. The car has never felt quite the same since, though that could well be psycho-sematic.
Same deal with my work ute (2009 Colorado) - since its a company leased vehicle I have to take it to the local Holden dealership. Every time I get it back something else seems not quite right. Last time the brakes started squeaking that day, yet they hadnt prior (and they told me they hadnt even touched the brakes - they would be changed at the next service). They obviously did something to it, but try proving it.
