HUGE Mailday ... 3 years of collecting has to end for awhile !

Pretty disappointed I didn't get a mention here.... considering I pretty much accounted/helped with everything but the Wonka :p

At first I wasn't that impressed with the Lakers jersey, but now I am. Very cool piece.
Gotta hold on to what you like the most, so I'm glad you could keep the Nash. Pity you couldn't get the full jersey to match, but you know, when you don't have $150,000 to splash...

Also, that Tony Allen jersey is gorgeous. Very impressed there bro.

Well Graeme, I was waiting for you to mention yourself ... which you did a pretty nice job of doing ! ... I like how much credit you gave yourself right there. ... Though I suppose If you hadn't shown me the jerseys, I would of never seen them ... and would have never gotten that Jordan from you (and you helped me keep the Nash) ... So, props to you for getting me to spend all of my money. ;)

The Lakers jersey Is really a beautiful thing; happy to see people like that the most. An amazing collectible Item to hold onto. ... Love the Tony Allen jersey too. Hope everyone got to see the Griz @ Lakers game last night ... Tony did awesome on Kobe. Everytime Tony sat out, OJ Mayo was put on Kobe ... which Kobe totally took advantage of ... then Tony would come back to guard him, and you could literally see Kobe getting soo pissed / frustrated at that. ... It was great to see. Like I said, Artest & T.A. gotta be the 2 best non center / BIG men In the league right now ... both have a couple screws loose ... but they're awesome. =D>

... I'm sure your next mailday (with a couple Items that I know of) will totally put me back In the shadows ! :(

I don't know what you're talking about......

I love my Thabo like you obviously do your Allen. Glad we were both able to get things of beauty and historical significance (;)) that we both treasure!

For a couple of bottom feeders ... we did alright man ! ;) ... I think we were both very lucky to even get the jerseys that we won ... Zero regrets on selling everything ... these couple Items I have now are very special to me ... and gonna let them sit now for quite some time.

Didn't think everyone would love the World Peace jersey ! ... I really think that's great ! ... He'll be remembered for a long time In basketball history. Jumping Into the stands and going krazy all of the time, to turning himself around ... when he could have easily vanished from the league ... now the people love him ... a Laker with a ring ! (though he sold his, which Is a great story. Not many NBA players would do that If they aren't desperate for the cash). ... I don't plan to sell any of this ... but offers never hurt.

Just a couple Artest facts:
* 16th overall pick In 1999 to the Bulls.
* Rookie season, he was criticized for applying for a job at Circuit City In order to get an employee discount.
* 2003-04 - Defensive player of the year.
* Missed 86 games for jumping Into the crowd. (73 regular season games & 13 playoff games), the longest suspension for an on-court incident In NBA history.
* Artest lost 7 million dollars In salary due to his suspension.
* In the Finals. LA beat Boston, 4 games to 3. Artest scored 20 points In the clincher and sank the team's last field goal. A 3 pointer late In the 4th quarter. After the game, Phil Jackson called Artest the MVP of game 7 against the Celtics.

Damn I didn't know he applied for Circuit City to get employee discount, I still remember that Detroit-Indiana brawl like it was yesterday. Good to see you get some top game worn jersey's :)
Hoping to get a Bogut game worn Bucks and then GS later on :)

sheesh, your maildays are so vague and random! unbelievable

But seriously, you know what I think of your specific, thoughtful, heartfelt (appropriate here? ah well  ) choices in your collection, so good on you for doing it and sticking to what you MUST have in your possession and hopefully the money gods shine on you to enable you to obtain many MANY more pieces of history!

Like the World Peace jersey the most and am thinking about getting more into memorabilia and less cards.... Hopefully you still have your Grant Hill can of Sprite though, right? :)

You're damn right I do. ... How could I let that beautiful Sprite can go !? :kick: ... As you can see, I sold about 40 cards and went more Into memorabilia ... Zero regrets, the jerseys really don't compare much to cards (though some cards are still amazing) ... they're just mega expensive after you buy a couple !

Wow - if you dont mind me asking- what did the G Hill jersey set you back ?

Quite a bit man. ... the most money I have ever spent on an Item for my collection. ... This 2009-10 Los Suns jersey Is pretty special, so I had to beat out some rich bidders ... and get lucky. The opening day Phoenix Suns Grant Hill jersey sold for like $1,400 ... you could possibly grab one around that price when the next ones are listed.

Who are these money Gods that you speak of ???? ... I need to e-mail them and ask for many, many more dollars be sent to my bank account.
Someone has to keep things a bit Interesting ! :kick: ... Probably spent too much money & thought Into those Items ... but I now have what I hope to keep for some time ... let the dust collect on a couple boxes. :) ... Still would love to have a beautiful KG Item to hold onto !

And the only random thing was the Johnny Depp auto ! ... Johnny Depp Is awesome though.

Agree with you on Depp awesomeness except that his Wonka was way too triply, original still is better haha

... The original Is a classic film. You can't take that away from It ... but Johnny Depp came In and totally put his creative-ness to work and twisted that movie till It was cool, up to date & fun ... So, both were great., ... I suppose of course I would say that though, being a big Johnny Depp fan ... It's probably not even In my top 10 Johnny Depp films though. ... Donnie Brasco, Public Enemies, Rum Diary, Fear & Loathing, The Tourist, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeny Todd, Blow, Secret Window, Once Upon a time In Mexico (that character was alot like Wonka ... and had Eva Mendes In It ... mmm Eva Mendes).
