I'm not saying it's a crap card or anything. I just think anyone spending $6500 on a piece of cardboard has lost all perspective on reality. If you have that much money to waste give it to a charity or put it to some use that benefits someone, you know who ever buys that card will just put it in a safe somewhere and look at it once a year or show it off to their other rich friends. And the person who sells it, well he'll just buy even more cards to flip for a profit.

Not really what collecting cards is all about if you ask me.

I see your point to a degree Bargey but in my eyes its all good. People spend that much and whole lot more on a car that does the same thing that most cars do. They do them up and show them off to thier other car loving friends. Even though you would think all cars at least go to the national speed limit of 110km and get you around.

I'd buy that card before a car any day. That card would be the centerpiece of my collection.

If I spent $25,000 on a car no one blinks.

I've had push bikes worth over $14,000. Its all what you are into and what means the most to you.

Agreed different things mean different stuff to different people....i think that makes sense.

As Chad said if you spend a lot on a car no one cares....or how about million aires buying $15-$20 million houses with 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, for a family of 4.

It just depends what you are into!!! And saying that it is just a peice of card board is being a little negative. Is a car just a bit of metal etc, or a house just some bricks and mortar...it really depends which way you look at it!!

How do you know that the buyer doesn't also make substantial donations to charity? Perhaps it is a gift? Perhaps the seller is actually in desperate need of immediate cash right now due to a death in the family and is not looking to reinvest to "flip". Lots of assumptions flying around here... [-X
