I need some advice on 2 ebayers..

I brought a card for Al and Ive paid for it and now they are no longer a member of ebay.I paid through paypal and was going to withdraw my money back. Can I do this? I have written to them a have not got a reply..

Secound ebayer I purchase a card for myself,it said will post worldwide by Gobal Priority. Now I have brought other items through Gobal Priority before and its only ever cost me between $5 to $10 bucks. This dickhead wants to charge me $16.50 for gobal priority.Do I have to pay or can I pull from the deal.
I hate it when they try to charge over priced postage.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

send back to the guy you are buying the card from(the one for yourself) and ask for a revised quote, or maybe find out on a website how much a card should cost to post and then show him the evidence, :)

1st Prob, contact Ebay first, they should get back to you about if they're still a Registered User, or if they've been suspended, etc. Sometimes things can happen, they might not have paid their Sellers Fees. If they gone, contact PayPal for a refund. Shouldnt have any dramas' there.

2nd prob, send em this link Global Priority = $5.25 Small or $9.50 Large. Tell em if they charge you $16.50 for it, they better make sure it's got it on the envelope or they'll be receiving a negative!

They may be using Express which is I think 1-2 days delivery, with insurance? Not 100% sure on it tho.

Always ask the sellers questions if they crazy things like this happen. If no response, go higher with Ebay/PayPal.

GL Tracy!

I sent him a message asking for a revised quote,he wrote back and said that he is not changing anything and I have to pay for item now.He was quite rude

bastard..... is the card something you really want, or can ya get another one somewhere else without to much bother?
cause if ya can get another then tell him to forget it that you arent paying that inflated shipping price

Bastard alright.. he really has peeved me off as the card I got is a good pickup very hard card to get...

Im going to send him another message and do what Mavs said and see how I go.It's terrible Im in a catch twenty two situation as I really want the card and if I want it I have to pay it or let it go. #-o

Hard to say Trace, wouldnt know what they sell for. If it's an absolute bargain, then the costs would even out.

I just clicked on the Postage Calculator in their listing, and for me (7140) it came up $16.75. This is what they've used. I think you'll find if they went to the PO for a quote, it'd be much less.

Send em a nice email explaining that them postage calculators are shit, and they should look up on the actual website (I posted it above).

GL!!!

ahhh Tracy. That quite a bargain on the Billy RC. Decent grade too. While its a good buy I'd still be shitty he is charging an extra $11US on what it will cost him to send. I'd try once more and explain that the eBay postage calculators are way off and if he uses a $5.25 global priority mailer that it will fit into then the quote is WAY off and not on. You could get a $500US card shipped insured and with tracking for that price.

Explain his shipping terms state global priority shipping and if thats what you get then thats what you pay. eBay frowns upon that much handling added to shipping especially those that are pre paid prices where both parties know exactly what they are paying and getting.

Good luck Tracy but I really dont' like your chances.

I wouldn't pay $30US + for it though I might add UNLESS I REALLY wanted it. If not I'd be patient and pick up a nice raw one cheaper

I think I have made a decision....I think I will pay this JERK $16.50 cause I really really want the card...But when the card arrives I am going to leave neutral feedback saying that he charges way over the top Postage & I dont really care if he leaves me bad feedback.I can deal with that..!!!

Thanks for everyones help...Very much appreciated

No way Tracy,
If the package comes in at $5.00 and he's charging $16 you should really Neg him, whats the point of leaving neutral feedback when he'll prob. neg you for leaving a neutral.
But in saying that it is totally up to you. ;)

you can also make a claim on paypal if the difference in postage is so high

i wasn't aware of that, might be something to look into in the future. Has anyone on this forum made this request to paypal before and if so what was the result ?

the request goes to the seller....if its grossly over charged, then yeah, you can normally request x amount of dollars back, and they refund you...ive done it 3 or 4 times...mostly because I paid for global priority, and it turned up regular airmail

G'Day Everyone.

I decided that I am going to stuff this JERK around abit and give him a taste of his own Medicine.

So I wrote to Ebay about his over the top postage cost.So it will be interesting to see what Ebay has to say about this matter.

So then I wrote to this Jerk saying that I contacted ebay on his ridiculous amount on postage and that I will not pay for item until they get back to me.

It gave me great pleasure to send him this email as I know for a FACT that it would PEEVE him off. So now he will have to wait a couple more days before he see any cash from me if he gets any at all. So thats going to have to Peeve him off even more....Which makes me ever so happy.

I feel a tad even now!!!

Make him sweat it out about

This will be very interesting to see how this Pans out...

I will keep you posted on the outcome.

I can tell you now that Ebay wont give two shits about ur email. Sorry to put it bluntly, but according to Ebay, a Seller has every right to charge whatever postage they feel necessary.

I still think you had more luck SHOWING them the actual postage amounts, than trying to argue with them about it.....

My 2c.

I did show him actual postage amounts and it got me no where..

Maybe ebay wont care but its worth ago as I think it wrong that he can get away with it.
If ebay does nothing about it I will just go ahead and pay for the card.
I do want the card, but I dont like being ripped off that much on postage.
I dont care if he made afew more bucks.. but thats abit way over the top really.

I just dont think its fair I would never charge that to an ebay member from over there.

Cheers
