Couldnt quite get his face right

Not sure if this is the best place but I figured I'd find Hayne fans here. I'm a HUGE 49ers card collector and my collection is one best/most sought-after base (non-insert, non-parallel) card of every player to wear the 49ers uniform since 1981. Can anyone steer me to his "best" first card? I thought Maybe 2007 NRL Select Supreme but I wasn't sure if that was his first/best card?

Thanks in advance!

He has approx 60 different nrl cards

One of his best is

I'm sure other members can show you his medallist signature card and others that are the best

Much appreciated. I am looking for the equivalent of his regular "base" rookie card. Am I correct that that would be from 2007? It looks like NRL Champions had a few releases, "select" "supreme"… I wasn't sure which non insert card was considered his "best" rookie card?

Nice autograph on that card, by the way.

Hi Dan,

To start the discussion, I'd suggest either the 2007 Champions Sketch Card SK20 or Award Card M3.

For base cards it would be the same 2007 Champions series #114 and corresponding foil card. He was also in the base set for the later 2007 Invincible series (115 base and Jersey Card 112).

Regards
Mike

I'm sure that will get updated with his 2015 Traders STR1 card as well!

Mike

PS: Dan, if Hayne gets an NFL card, maybe update the thread as I am sure a lot here would be interested?

For sure, will do. I'm not sure how quickly he'll see the field, the 49ers also have Lawrence Okoye on the roster and like Hayne an incredible athlete, but learning the position can take time.

Congratulations to Jarryd Hayne for making the San Francisco 49ers Squad.

I always doubted that he could do it, and i am so happy to eat humble pie.

I know that i will be following the 49ers this year, so hopefully he will get plenty of game time.
Congratulations to him.

I think most people would have doubted him making it .

Probably a good reminder to everyone that if you put in the hard yards (pardon the pun) you can achieve you goals.

I'm not an NFL fan but i have and will be following him now.

Yeah,
I gotta say I've never been much of an NFL fan, however, I have watched Hayne's 'journey' from NRL to NFL with a lot of interest, and will be following the fortunes of the 49's now, solely because he has cracked it there.
Really want to see him make them look even more foolish than he already has. I mean, he has only been playing NFL for a month and yes these have been only pre season trial/exhibition games, with less than full strength sides available, but to my inexperienced eye he has impressed and obviously the coaches think so also, as he made the roster. His stats for the pre-season speak volumes not only for his professionalism, athleticism and drive, but also indicate, I think, where he will end up after his career has finished.
All the best to him, tho' as a lifelong Parra supporter, I am still disappointed he left feeling he had 'achieved all he could' in NRL without winning a Premiership. However, the timing obviously couldn't be better.
Now - where's my 38 Hayne NFL jersey...
