Friday 13th - THE REMAKE!!!

Does anyone own the box set of the Nightmare series with the 3D glasses? Went to see that one at the cinemas and been dying to see it properly ever since. Just wondering what the quality is like 3D wise? It's probably lamer than I remember it though. Been looking at those on ebay recently...

Yep agree with you there, Hills 2 was shyte, a total waste of film. I still watched it knowing what to expect though.

Kind of like Hostel 2, was never going to live up to Hostel. That said though, I think the horror genre is back and been growing stonger the last 8 years. There were a string of 'teen' Horror films through the 90's that destroyed it, kind of like what Nelly did to hip-Hop.

yeah, some things work well once and not again. end scene where she cuts of his junk was cringeworthy

glad to see a comeback courtesy of Saw, Final Destination, Underworld Resident Evil, 28 Days, Hostel, Cabin Fever etc

some of the Jap remakes have been half decent. Like Ring ,Grudge & Pulse

"insert name" of the Dead remakes have been hit & miss

could go on forever and ever about horror movies

same ive been looking at getting it just for that

i remember it from the movies, pretty horrible but worthy of a horror film like Friday the 13th part 3:thumbsup:

I didn't mind the Dawn of the Dead remake. Picked that up pretty cheap awhile back, good for a watch every 5 or 6 moths. But I love anything to do with Zombie's so might not say much about how good the film is. ;)

It's a biased 2 thumbs up

To add to that, it was cheap as, but it was supposed to be. I was just amped about the whole Tarantino/Rodriguez thing. I'm shattered we never got the cinema versions though. I got around to seeing it as it was intended but still need it for my collection.

Have to agree with you there. Wiould have to say these have been my faves since the early classics

Shaun of the Dead
28 Days Later
Land of the Dead
Undead or Alive
Diary of the Dead

Shaun of the Dead I didn't mind, 28 Days Later was brilliant. I didn't think much of Land of the Dead, it wasn't all that bad though. I'll have to check the last two out if you recommend them.

 i just have to walk to my room for an assortment of garbage  best thing is they are usually cheap to buy

got my critters, phantasm & house box sets from the UK pretty damn cheap

How many House movies were there? I have 1 & 2, watched them YEARS ago when I was young, but only recently picked them up on DVD.

Is anyone a fan of the Puppet Master movies? I've been trying to source a complete DVD collection of them. Havent seen them all yet either, but if anyone knows a R4 DVD source, lemme know!!

There was 4 House movies. Always remember this
housethumb22.jpg
and the sword/sailfish scene

I think a box set has been released for Puppet Master but not region 4 off the top of my head.

some decent lists of movies so far, but for TRUE horror buffs, you'll know the best **** aint coming from america.

Japanese horror (takashi miike for example), european horror (esp 70's stuff like Dario Argento, Mario Bava etc) is the ****. makes american horror look like playschool.

Speaking my language there :worthy:

Suspiria (Three Mothers Trilogy :woot:)http://www.ugo.com/channels/filmTv/features/top50scariestscenes/suspiria.asp
Bird with the crystal plummage
Demons
Deep Red

Creepers was argentos first movie i watched ,Connelly come along way since then.

I cant remember if creepers is the movie where the little boy/midget in the boat gets swarmed by flies.

Been a while since i watched any new mike or nakata stuff. Think the last asian horror films i watched were one missed call & three extremes. Wouldnt mind watching ichi the killer, battle royal again and i forget the name of the movie but the bird drugs the bloke and cuts his leg off....damn going to be thinkn about it all day now

yeah Creepers is the **** version though dude, its the heavily cut american version with about 28 minutes cut out, basically they butchered it. the full original version is called Phenomena, its awesome, Jennifer Connolly is gorgeous, and yeah that freaky little mutant midget is in it.

the movie with the psycho leg cutting chick is called Audition (also by Miike). that last 15 minutes is just crazy though hey? it just sticks in your mind for ever.
