Yep, you heard right, they're looking at doing a remake!

(I also read that there's a possibility of Freddy Vs Jason 2 - feat. Mike Myers!!!) - And a possible prequel for Nightmare on Elm St!

Anyways:
Check the Remake details!!

Release:
Friday 13th (naturally) - Feb, 2009

god, these endless remakes are just becoming a plague now. every single movie that turned a decent profit in the 80s is now gonna be remade it seems.

so austin powers is making a cameo in freddy vs jason 2? ;)

LOL, not quite the same Myers....

And although I do agree that some remakes should be left alone, but this day and age, a remake of F13 would damn straight rule!!

also talks of

Hellraiser
Evil Dead
Halloween remake sequal
N.O.E.S.

a remake of Last House on the Left has been done or is filming, oringal uncut is pretty shocking, dont think they will touch on it much

there was a couple of others but cant think off top of my head

What about Nightbreed? I loved that movie and was sure there was going to be a sequel because of the ending!

Nightbreed was pretty decent, there was 2 more Cabal novels

Clive Barker  Candyman was another good one

Hellraiser (2011)
Will be interesting to see who they get for Pinhead

Some of the cenobites were cool, compact disc dj was funny

What was Cabal mate? Connected to Nightbreed?

Anyone remember the BoneYard? A mutant poodle eating people, it was hilariously bad in a good way, haha!

Also enjoyed Pet Cemetary, the Puppet Master series, Critters, man so many horror movies! They don't make them the same thats for sure!

Ahhh Critters lol that was a cool flick :)

Makes me wanna go out and rent a whole bunch of crappy ol horrors.

Piranha lol now that was some funny **** think it falls under comedy not Horror :)

Plenty fall into that

Dr Giggles

Reanimator
Killer Clowns from outerspace
Food for the gods
Titanic

some do it on purpose really well though

Braindead
Evil Dead trilogy
Bad taste

Ah awesome, bit of a countdown to it now, but doesnt it make you want to break out the box-sets and watch them all over again???

Childs Play remake?? How cool! Loved those movies. Used to scare the crap outta me when I was a kiddie.

Friday The 13th Blog Blog Archive Friday The 13th Teaser Trailer

Trailer isnt too bad, Jason running seems a bit odd

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard Michael Bay was on board, with that and the new Nightmare, but it doesn't look that bad. He's only producing so he can't mess it up too much and didn't do a bad job on the Chainsaw he was apart of so I'm looking forward to both.

I don't mind remakes so long as they're done right, see the new Hills Have Eyes for an example of a good remake imo. The new Halloween wasn't bad either.

New chainsaws were great, enjoyed hills have eyes the 2nd was garbage (a couple of good scenes), liked zombies halloween. Tyler Mane did a good job as the shadow/myers

Yep agree with you there, Hills 2 was shyte, a total waste of film. I still watched it knowing what to expect though.

Kind of like Hostel 2, was never going to live up to Hostel. That said though, I think the horror genre is back and been growing stonger the last 8 years. There were a string of 'teen' Horror films through the 90's that destroyed it, kind of like what Nelly did to hip-Hop.

 i just have to walk to my room for an assortment of garbage  best thing is they are usually cheap to buy

got my critters, phantasm & house box sets from the UK pretty damn cheap
