Footy stars 2022

Busted 4 boxes this morning and looking pretty grim, plenty of inserts BUT of Collingwood & Richmond both teams
have in my boxes produced one PS of each so you could say at the moment I am a bit Pssssss

just reading the other posts about the Virtuoso per case -
well my case did not have one unless it's a one of the remaining boxes which I can't see happening

from Select's site.
Each Jumbo case comes with a separate Virtuoso pack in the case containing one Virtuoso redemption card randomly inserted and each numbered to 70.

well where is mine???

Watching some breaks on youtube it looks like the virtuoso pack is in top of the jumbo case underneath the first flaps of cardboard like where the case cards used to be.

Nervous times. But it is there.. I almost left my Bailey Smith Virtouso with Aust post after taking the boxes out of the big package.
Went back to check with the girl and there it was.:kick:Check carefully people !!

so glad I am not the only one that nearly missed but thanks to Blocka2004 I had another look and there is was a Ollie Wines virtuoso no43.....is for sale unless anyone has Collingwood to trade, still have 2 boxes unopen hope I have better luck with Collingwood cards very, very lean at the moment.

Reminds me about the best and fairest earlier in the year when buying the albums. Thats one of the really good things about this site.
Updating people on the way Select are doing things.

Very little movement on the secondary singles sales market because everyone is pricing this like Supremacy. It’s series 1!

Compounded by the fact that cases of hobby are still available at $840 but breaks are selling out 1.5x. It’s going to bottom out really fast - not sure that’s a great thing for the hobby.

Exactly why I’m showing some restraint for the first time ever and not buying any for the first 2-4 weeks.

I thought that was one of the golden rules and it applies to all sports. Do not buy singles straight after release as 98% of them are at their peak price. Rare parallels and/or autos might be the exception but for everything else wait until supply starts to build

Spot on...... there is always that tipping point where people have busted a heap of product and are looking to dump what they have left to try and recoup their cash for the next release.

I know a very large shop/distributor who used to buy up inserts from previous releases for cents on the dollar to sell in his shop and those people he had just bought from would then go and spend that money back with him on the next release......so buys cheap cards to sell at a profit, then that cash comes straight back in box/case sales making more profit that way.

Rinse and repeat each year.

I just got a Spectrum Redemption 4 for Richmond, do you have to have all the Richmond redemptions to claimi ??
chances are that I will not be redeeming it so can anyone give me an idea of fair value it's a 002,

Opening a case of Jumbo made me feel like I opened a case of Honours 1.

Haven't felt that way with a select product for a long time 😒

agree.. and I say to myself to take this path every release...
alas, I'm a weak minded fool,who can't help himself.
when I see the water,I jump in the pool!

I don't think you need them all mate, but at this stage no one has any idea. And it's hard to price them as we don't actually know what they redeem yet. Select were meant to have released this info by now but have gone really quite on the subject.

BLOWN8...I hear you, it's like the Instant win card...read the back of card says Comp opens 1st March but on web site says 15th March.
way I read the Spectrum 4 is the number that relate to player Select have selected of that team and the card number like 002 is the number you receive
so in reality you do not have to have all...would it be lovely if Spectrum 4 was jumper number for Richmond:cool:

I snagged a standard and 2 jumbo box's via cherry presale a week or two ago (still on their way). After catching up on the thread I heavily debated going for a case of jumbo, still available from the select site, purely for the guaranteed Virtuoso pack...

thought about it... its 'footy stars'.. yea there will be some good inserts but ultimately premium value cards will be few and far between. Couldnt justify the case given that one card itself would need to be a pretty damn good player to get close to that sort of money back (I assume... could be wrong).

Bought 2 more Jumbo's from select direct to have a chance at the 1:8 virtusoso packs being slotted into my order (1:4 now...) cause I love to take a punt. That will be me on Footy Stars this year. Probably went overs but keen to break some stuff.
