The card collector:
Is Upper Deck manipulating the market with primary investors placed to push up the value of the sales and generate a huge demand for the unsold stock at hand?
Still watching a fair few cards from the set on eBay. Noticing the red pmgs dropping in price a little. Mj inserts still selling through the roof, no surprises there!
agreed, fleer retro is overpriced....it is all skyrocketing right now, but i doubt anyone will be able to sell at this price again after the market drops, suppose, most of these cards are going to serious collections and wont ever surface again...wat a shme

Totally disagree with it dropping in price, while there's a chance to hit a MJ/Lebron auto, a MJ/Lebron PMG and those MJ Buybacks it will continue to rise in price.
I think there is ZERO chance of it coming down! The reason for the price rise was because of the lack of stock! They are only going to get rarer, so there is no way it will come down!

I don't think they ever REALLY went to $700. I think there was a bit of manipulation going on, but with the speed of the hype, people were buying first and researching later!
There were people on Blowout who weren't getting bites at $4000 for a case, yet eBay was 'selling' them for $5K???
There are still more Big hits left than what have been pulled!
/\/\ yeah, i was thinking more long term. theres bound to still be stock even after a bunch of greens and most of the buybacks have surfaced. cant see people spending as much then, but thats just a guess.
doesnt matter for me, since i missed the boat pre-sale, and dont want to wait for any significant price drop (if there is one), so im stuck forking out about $500 a box. i dont think the overall product is worth that, but its more about trying to pull something i wouldnt be able to afford otherwise.
