For $3k a case i'd expect Panini to throw in a date with Ms Kerr.Everyone takes what they want out of the hobby. I will hunt down my Miami Heat autos, Alonzo Mourning cards and Ed Davis. Do I care Flawless is out? Yeah! Looks like an amazing product and I will sit back with popcorn watching the secondary market dictate the prices. I am never in the market for a $300 box let alone $1500. This product has nothing to do with my personal collecting taste and would never dictate what I think about my cards I have in my PC and on personal display. Saying that flawless makes you "done with it" is like saying you're done with Miranda Kerr when you're dating her. It should never occur.
I jokingly embedded diamonds into my "future panini release" photoshop job a few months back. It was a complete joke.. and now it's actually happened. These cards arent even that great. The jumbo patches are nice, but really remind me of the old Ultimate Jumbo patches wich was like one per box at $200?
The rest? Same players, same autos, same white backgrounds.
I would have rather have them invest in getting top players (Ewing,Miller,Duncan,Barkley,Iverson,Rose,Garnett,Carmelo and probably a lot more that im forgetting here).
The only reason these boxes are so expensive are the diamond and emerald gimmick. These stone embedded cards are just stupid (imo), its has nothing to do with sports or the athletes.
And what also bugs me is that the 13-14 preseason has already started, and when the new 13-14 regular season starts were still waiting for 12-13 Immaculate.
Panini America where milking to the MAX happens:

Tell the truth, you are just upset that you did not trade mark the idea and are now missing out on all of that revenue
Also any collector that is worried about a new release lessening the value of an auto that they have of a player is not a true collector but rather an investor
I beg to differ. I collect Faried and generally accept the price offered to me 99% of the time. However a middle range RPA was selling $400-500 at the release of NT. with flawless & immaculate approaching I saw that same quality patch end for a meer $130 today. I'm sorry but I'd cry if something I spent so much on depreciated in value that much in such a short period of time.
Card prices are always higher when a product first comes out and are usually overpriced and then settle down. As there does not appear to be any true RPA?s in flawless that sale price may have been because the seller did not ship overseas ( I may be wrong on that, just a guess)
Just a few days to go... !
