Hey Ya'll...

Guess what I just stole??? The DEATHBRINGER!!!

Attack 90 + KO on hit!!!!!!

I set all 3 active party members up with the healing Gambits, + the Foe: Nearest = Steal combo.

On my first steal attempt, WHAM! I got one!
You have to exit and let Ithulon reload, before stealing another.

I'm going back in a sec, to try for more.

Update guys.... where y'all at??

I just finished off the Stilshrine of Miriam, it's an awesome level. Walking down a passage, and the wall just disappears, and reveals a hidden passage, blew me out!!

Negalmuur was a laugh... I was ready to have a decent fight, but 2 hits, and I didnt even get a chance to steal...

The Esper was awesome, so now I have 2. Hopefully will be able to go and take on another Esper in the Barheim Passage. I should have a fair bit of HP now to take on them damn ghost-type critters.

But now I'm just about to take on a Judge in Mt Bur-Omisace I believe. By the looks of things, he's going to be a walk in the park....

I have finished King Raithwall's Tomb and just got my first esper. Pretty much just followed the story up to that point and now have been doing all the hunts and just running around leveling up. Most characters are about lvl. 25 and Vaan is lvl.28. Found a secret area with giant turtles that each kill gives you 1000exp. which helps a lot.

That's the Giza Plains in the wet season yeah?

Watch out for the Hunt in that location (if activated). He's a doozie. Read above for info.

If you want easy level up (1100 EXP + 3 LP per kill), read on: (text should be white - hidden)

HINT (highlight with mouse to show):
In the Westersand Area on the borders of the Galtea Downs, and the Corridor of Sand, you can find the Dustia.

Now...

Listen very carefully...

Before making your way here, you will need a STASH (I bought 99) of Phoenix Downs.

You will also need to be alone (no additional party members can be active. Either remove them, or if you've got a guest, kill him/her off.

You will also need to have either 10% or less HP. (I have 27/2562 HP).

Setup the Gambit - Foe: Nearest = Phoenix Down.

Cancel any other active Gambits.

Now enter the Corridor of sand, wait, Dustai should appear.
Your character should throw a PD at him, and kill him instantly, NOW.. Before he has died completely, you must retreat to the Galtea Downs. This will allow him to respawn again next time you enter.

Why do this???

Each kill gives you 1101 EXP, and 3 LP!!!!

Repeat as necessary.... Great way to level up!!!!

So where's everyone up to with this?

I beat the shit outta the Judge in Mt Bur-Omisace, he was no probs with 3x Deathbringers. lol.

Decided I'd try my luck at the Zertinan Caverns' Esper - Adrammelch. Well, at first, I thought I was in with a chance, then the dead critters that come up outta the ground and started taking me down.

I was able to Summon up Mateaus (the Ice Esper). Since Adrammelch is a Thunder Esper, he's weak against Ice Magick. I knocked a decent sized hole in him, and he was quick to use Judgement Bolt to knock both Basch and Mataeus out!!

Back to the Characters.

I had Ashe using the Yochi Bow (Atk + 72 I think) and Basche on the Stone Bow, with Vaan using a Deathbringer to take care of the "helpers" that Adrammelch has.

It got down to heal, and live, or attack, and hopefully win... I chose attack.

I had him down to 1 more attack, and he was readying Thunderja.... next you see a short animation (which I thought was Thunderja), but nope... it was me KO'ing his arse!! YAY! 3 Espers!!! 7 More to go, till I'm allowed to take on Zodiark. *smirk* yeah right!!!

Where's everyone else at?

Back to levelling up for me, I want the Esper in the Barheim Passage.

just thought id mention i finished FF7 (again, i think it was about the 5th time now), but this was the first time i actually seriously went after beating all the weapons, which i did!!! so i can finally say ive done absolutely everything possible in FF7 now! I even managed to get the all 7 fever (7777 hp on one character) which ive never seen before.

one of the hardest things ive ever done in a game, those muther****ers are damn tough! took MANY hours levelling up and getting Knights of the Round to master level.

Awesome Jizz!!!

There's only 1 thing I've not done in FF7, and that's obtain 12 Shinra 1/12 Soldiers. I think I was up to 10.

As for Master Levels.... that's sooooo hard aye, definately not an easy task!

Well done mate! Now start on FFXII!!!

Another update from me...

Decided I'd have a look at Zalera, the hidden Esper in the Barheim Passage.

Note: He's a Lvl 40 Esper with 72,248 HP!!
Started out, my Deathbringers were only doing 0 damage, yep, NOTHING!!!

Turns out, he's got 2 Deadbones with him, need to take care of them first, then you can do damage.. but, he recalls them back 3-4 times.

Also, you have a 5 minute timer in which to defeat him!!!

Without Deathbringers, this'd be one to do MUCH MUCH later in the game.

Anyways, knocked his arse out! Had 1:23 left on the clock.

Just looking at what he can do on the net, he's a pretty nasty Esper to have beside you!!!

Hint:
Use Gambits Ally:Any = Phoenix Down & Enemy:Closest = Attack

Also use Immune against Disable Accessory, you'll save a LOT of time.

Update
Just got my first Deathbringer! Took a few tries but well worth it. Will definately be trying to get more!
Moved along passed the Golmore Jungle onto the passage and into the next town (can't remember name). All characters now on lvl.30 at least with Vaan being highest on lvl.33.
All character's also have golden amulet which gives double LP so going to go back an do some hunts to lvl up some more. Plus get more deathbringers

Awesome accomplishment!!!

Deathbringers are awesome, not the greatest, but definately helps having the 10% KO on hit, and also quite powerful early on in the game.

How did you find the "Patient" side-mission? What item did you get at the end?

My update is, I'm trying to get "Cuchulainn" he's the Esper in the Garamsythe Waterway. He's pretty tough, 120,000+ HP!! And, he's got 4 Foobar Fiends to help him out, (about 3,000HP - easy to knock off), but one thing, while not overly tough, he's got a forcefield in the area that is a constant SAP... which drains your HP at a very fast rate! Lots of HP is needed. He also uses Disable and Immobilise... not good. Plenty of Phoenix Down's are needed.

I'll try to knock him off tonight.

Hey Ryan, easy levelling up - read early on (up the page) there's a bit on "Dustia" that I found out... it'll do wonders for ya!!!

BUMP!!!

How is everyone going with this awesome game???

I picked it back up 2 days ago, and still going strong with it.

Just made my way up to the Mosphoran Highway, on my way to Silkawood.

Knocked off a couple of Hunts, no hard ones yet, and went nuts in the Golmore Jungle where there's a STACK of Dark Bones. They drop some really cool stuff!

Haven't leveled up much, I might take some time to go find Dustia. But thought I'd check where y'all are up to?

Finished it, not the most difficult game but still great fun. Did all but 1 hunt. Then traded it in for Madden 08. Got a $50 trade in for it.

No didn't get the spear as didn't know it existed and went past it.

I think I had 10 or 12 espers, I think. Although i didn't use them at all so didn't really look for them.
