Favorite player and why?

D Robinson will always be number one for me, Most athletic centre that will ever play this game, I personally think he changed the way entire franchises run their orginisations now, a lot of teams model there's on the spurs now and it all started with him.
Will always always have mj at no 1 though, he changed sport in general. He put basketball on the map, did things that no one else could do, but most of all I think everyone admires him because he was the ultimate competitor.

Also have manu ginobili up there now purely for the excitement of not knowing what he is going to serve up. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know half the time!! All instincts.

Yeah like when he hit that bat out of mid air, gave it to the bat catcher and went on with the game LOL =D>

Reitired:

Magic Johnson, who else in their rookie year can start at C in the NBA Finals and dominate?? answer...NO ONE!!The reason i started playing and watching, imho i still think he is the best player ever to play.......
Penny Hardaway all the scouting reports coming out of college said he was in a mould of Magic and he didnt dissapoint, shattered his injurys got the best of him!

Current

Kobe Bryant, i know there are alot of haters on here!! he is clearly in the top 10 of the greatest players ever!!i dont think Kobe has ever said he compared himself to MJ its the media and the fanboys....

Lebron James, he is such a talented athlete probably one of the best!, ive stated i dont like him and i dont but cant deny the guys got skillz

My favorite current player is Amare Stoudemire, i always remember his explosivness and ability to play above the rim before his injury and i was a suns fan at the time.

My favorite player that i never got to watch live from the older days would have to be Magic Johnson, the showtime lakers ran by him were unbelievable and i love how in his rookie season Kareem goes down injured and he stepped in and played C getting 42, 15 and 7 and earning Finals MVP.

Whose your past and present favorite players?

Really hard to go past Lebron right now. He does it all.

Back in the day, I LOVE the Mutumbo finger wave after a block! but reckon Olajuwon is hard to top, took the Rockets to two championships (I think)
