essendon to hawthorn however it would be much much different.. a team they havent beaten since when (apart from last year).. cmon i hold no grudge.. but spose, when you dont beat someone for so so long, you tend to hate them
that's what I meant.... also I don't hate for absolutely no reason like constantly losing to one team that happens... what bothers me is the shit Essendon always seemed to get away with thats all.... but hate is in all honesty probably too strong a word.... only really hate one thing on this planet and unfortunately he runs the free world.
i hate no one but brisbane... collingwood can talk all the smack they like this year.. i mean we're a terrible side, we deserved to lose that day.. they aren't better than us any other time.. and i love that joffa guy..
More like I couldn't be stuffed looking for a direct quote hehe... I'm justa lazy bugger. Good to know you have common sense though and don't think Collingwood will win the flag this year.
Can't blame you, they've had a few wins and even pushed the Eagles.... but as always are a couple of injuries away from mediocrity... although I do like Dale Thomas he shows promise!
Yup injuries kill any team, rusling is our only injured player atm and hes due back maybe as soon as next week, Its such a difference picking up the paper going to the injuries and seeing collingwood bare, whereas the last few years the herald sun needed a double spread to cover our injuries
Seeing a third of the club is out of action at the moment it's kinda hard to win, even against a rabble like Carlton.
Henneman, Hird, Ramanauskas, McVeigh, Camporeale, Cole, Fletcher, Johns,
Lloyd, Rioli, Slattery & Ryder all unavailable for Selection this week. That's at least 8 of our best 22, including our best 3 players. I'd love to see how the Pies would go with that many out. Oh right, I did get to see, last year, when they tanked the season after losing Anthony Rocca. And I got to see it Saturday night, when they lost with a full list except for a 33 year old midfielder.
PS You can have Welsh if you think he's that good, you can use him once a year on Anzac Day so your guys can take hangers on top of him.
Hes not only a 33 yr old midfielder mate lol, hes our James Hird of Collingwood. Captain and leader. Also your missing Reece Shaw, mate the guy who had 37 or 38 touches against you guys last year on Anzac day before he went off injured.
Where did we tank? oh thats right after losing Bucks, Clement, Shaw, Rocca, Tarrent, Didak and co... so does that mean you have tanked your season?
Kyle i remember watching some of the pies games towards the end of the season when they had their players out and it just looked like they were tanking the way they were playing.
ever team goes through a losing phase, there can be only one winner in the end which kinda sucks, since you have been on a premiership drought as long as the demons. But im confident we will get a flag in this decade anyways if we dont it will be under extremely unlucky circumstances.
the bombers have a few good players,
watson, lucas, fletcher, hird, lyyod, lovetts to build on but like sheedy said if they under perform this year than there will be a few sackings at seasons end which is the right thing to do imo. their on the re-building stage!
i love the look of monfries/slattery also... some good kids coming through, will just take another year or two on top of this one to get anywhere.. and thats fine with me.. i mean look at us in 1996.. did well to get to the prelim, i was at the coasters/ess game at the g.. man they'd be pee'd off huh .. anyways... then the next year.. pretty average.. then back to finish 8th.. and then lost to the blues in a prelim, then so on and so on.. gotta take the ups with the downs.. and im happy to say i've seen more ups in my life time than downs.. and it doesnt bother me that much to watch a losing streak or a bad year like this..
LOL. A funny read No funny business this week bombers. [-X
I think due to teams pushing numbers back(the 'bad' teams do this more), the good sides don't have as much of a chance to have one dominant forward anymore. This is results in teams such as the eagles/crows having rather congested forwardlines most of the time - making it harder for one player to dominate in those teams. That said, a strong forward would be warmly welcomed to west coast. Re the grand final - eagles were missing Lynch and Matera in the forwarline and had Braun and Rowan Jones out injured grand final week. They were surely worth a point or more each
