as with Select Champions, all last seasons pictures, but to use the same image, bunch of jerks
I would imagine Select would have to purchase the pictures off the photographer. In doing this I would have thought that Select would have paperwork in place which signed over all rights to the images. We may have to look at the photos more closely... Maybe it is the very next frame of a series of continuous shots.
It just gets better and better with this series.
As you all know, I get cards signed by the players..... Therefore I sort alot of my cards out into individual players.....
I found this today, I thought I was seeing things the other day when I was sorting through. I thought I had seen a few of the ESP cards before.... surely not its a new company, new cards..... WRONG!!!!!!!!
Sorry about the photo quality, but this is one example. They aren't even original when it comes to the images they use.
so i dont really blame select for re using images, as i couldnt imagine rendering 180 base cards + inserts wow. the thought of it makes me cringe
maybe they are given the images they can use but surely they are given a choice of each player not just one?
just excuse after excuse being made by us all trying to justify the release
If you really want to send a message to ESP dont buy the product. Im not.
No - they are given the image to use by the NRL and that is it. What are ESP supposed to do?

Hi AronSteve Wang aka Cardzone
Agreed, that is one way to send the message to ESP for sure, the other way is to engage with them and offer constructive points of view on their product. Any business and I don't care who it is will dismiss destructive and negative comments such as those offered by a few recent members to these forums.
I would rather be part of the solution not the problem. The other day I emailed ESP and gave them a scathing review on certain aspects of their release, everything from designs that, IMHO, worked and didn't work and yes image choice was one of those points. I commented on packaging and thought the vertical packaging of cards could and may have contributed to damages. I offered a two page review on what worked and what didn't, from a collectors point of view; and used some thoughts and comments that had been discussed in these forums.
Not a day and a half later after mine and other collectors comments were acknowledged, we see the checklist fixed and sent to one and all; so companies do listen if the message is clear enough to be heard.
So if you want to help fix the problems then let yourself be heard, write to the company explain what worked and what didn't but do it tactfully and I think we will be surprised what may come back to us, the collector, in terms of quality. But if all you want to do is product bash then just shut up and don't buy the product, or better yet, go back to Select's product and collect AFL.

Gosh, the new members you refer to are driving me round the bend. Probably just Wangy trolling.
The replicated photos are nothing new, Select did it across sets and so did the tazos. I think you're all dreaming if you expect ESP to track down sets of Dynasty to check they weren't reusing any photos from it - but hopefully they don't reuse any photos from their own releases in future.
