ESP NRL Traders 2013 Sneak Peak UPDATED WITH NEW IMAGE

If it was me, I'd take the negative feedback any day of the week!

Personally I wouldn't give negative feedback if I'd bought one and he didn't supply it, though. He made a stupid mistake ... doesn't mean he should lose thousands of dollars.

If he sells something he can't or won't supply...
Why would you leave anything but negative FB?
People leave - FB here if you don't post things in a Bubble Mailer (Regardless of the condition it turns up in!!)
He wants to get greedy and list pre sales... He falls on his own sword!!

Not taking any sides here, but another perspective to think about is if you bought cards at $80 thinking it was cheap and they came out worth $25, would you still pay for them??? I know I wouldn't...

I did think about this and thought yeah I think I would still pay as its my silly fault for jumping the gun, it could easily end up that way as it has in the past with parallel sets etc. Just wasn't as much money involved

It may well come down to when the payment has been made as some may pay sooner than others

This is the best thread ever. I haven't watched TV or listened to Talkin' Sport for the last 3 days keeping up with all this speculation and hypothesising. But I'm also very keen to get hold of this release. Got a box on order, then gunna smash the crap outta the loose packs and try to destroy those skinny ratios.
Good luck everyone.

I'm not sure how many of of these cheap young guns presales went down but there could be an issue of the seller even having the cards to honour the auctions, given scarcity of these sigs, though I know this guy deals in large quantities.
i use sportscollectorscards quite regularly, as he's one of the better ones when it comes to starting price and post charges, so feel for him a little bit, but listing cards without knowing the ratios is dumb, dumb, dumb. He should at least honour one sig per buyer. Good luck if you expect more than that, he's not a great communicator.

I agree with Robbie & Justin. The seller tried to grab an advantage and looks to have lucked out. This is a risk he took and well unfortunate it is just the way things are. I wouldn't hesitate in leaving negative FB if I had ordered a Young Gun and the seller didn't supply it. I am sure most OZCT members have listed cards for auction on eBay at some point and had them go under the expected price but have still sent the card to the buyer regardless.

Please explain :)

He's not hostile or anything like that but a bit slack in responding to queries in my opinion. A few weeks back I picked up a few cheap 2012 rated rookies off him, and one of them I didn't read properly, I saw the pic of DCE and bid, when the card description was Sam Williams who I already had. It was my mistake, but I flicked a message proposing he send me the Moses pangai he had listed instead (a card i didnt have) for same price and he could still sell the williams to the 2nd highest bidder. Win-win?
He didnt reply and I have two Sam Williams. Only talking a $3 card here, but a courtesy 'no thanks' message would have been nice considering I've prob spent a couple hundred with him past few years.

When the worst that can happen to him is getting a few bits of negative feedback verses dropping $2-$3K what do you think he is going to do?

It sucks but with ebay there are pretty much no consequences from him.

Well he'd be getting at least 20 negs at once plus a heap of PayPal claims and I'd like to think he'd lose a lot of business out of it. I for one would never buy of him again. But this is all to earto to say, I'll wait to see what he does

Coz I can see his side of it ... like I said, stupid error, but if I had done the same thing and cost myself two grand, I'd probably be out on the street living in a cardboard box! haha

And as others say, he is one of the better ebay sellers for prices and postage, etc. If it was Steve Wang it might be a different story!

Really? Geez there's some heartless people out there ...

I too have to agree that he has been one of the more reasonable sellers out there, he has made a terrible rookie mistake, but as long as he makes some amends for it (one card per customer) he surely must be given some slack. It is a pretty big mistake to learn from.

Also as a single box buyer I have gone from being very excited about this release to quite disappointed. I have been a very keen collector since the early 90s and I simply can't afford to buy multiple boxes or cases. This sounds like it is going the way of the last release and leaving us smaller time collectors with the high probablility of spending a considerable amount of money on very little if the box is a bust. Collecting for a lot of us seems to be going the way of buying what we need from Ebay rather than opening it up in a packet and that sucks.

I bought a box of the last release and spent every pack angry about not getting anything of value and just couldn't enjoy it as much as knowing I was going to get a Top Prospect card (and maybe a cool number) and a predictor as well as the chance of a high end sig card. As it happened my last pack contained two captains sigs, but I still hadn't been able to shake that disappointment and dread of feeling as if I was about to be ripped off, instead of the excitement of busting packets.

Mind you I also acknowledge that this is just the first series this year and is a hell of a lot more exciting than any Champions release.

Also I've sold heaps of cards on this forum for less then 50% of market/eBay value. Only one person has ever told me I was selling to cheap. And it sure wasn't thenamesgould and his bleeding heart.
