ESP Limited Edition 2013 (Info Updated 04/10/13)

Another great surprise from esp, Im realy over all there bullshit, seriously goin down hill real fast they are and they are loosing buyers and collectors real fast

That's a very ordinary looking card. Not gunna get my $$$.
They don't seem to have any concept of what collectors want or how the market operates. They currently have a monopoly on the NRL trading card market and they just continue to disenfranchise their distributors and their customer base.
If you want me, I'll be in the NFL forum.

He will profit if he has the money and time...
Which he obviously does!!
Without considering what he will make by being the first (and maybe only) seller with it listed at the moment!! I can assure you if I wanted either signature I would have them by now!!... More than likely from him!!

Well after collecting all of 2012 ESP LTD, I have to say I am disappointed with ESP/Ikon for the way they have marketed and are distributing this new set. I also would say they completely got the price point wrong on 2012 hence why they have so many left over. Also a 1:18 insert was missing that would have helped.
I have sent ESP a letter regarding these points.
Having over 20 years in the business and 30 years collecting I have seen things like this happen before. (Card Crazy/Ineda/Futera/Dynamic) Companies trying to extract as much $$ out to the collector with out really knowing what the collector wants.
This 2013 ESP LTD Set, really 33 cards and like 5 and 6 cards from each team?
and the Autos?
1 of the 3 is going to be sort after.
So in one foul swoop, both sets have been devalued, and to be honest by the looks of it collectors disillusioned with ESP.
The only saving grace was, yeah they did get the Elite on target and hit the mark, but can they keep it up and evolve with fresh ideas?
I only hope they have someone reading these forums and use them as a tool for marketing and design in the future.
Lets hope 2014 brings
a) sets on standard with elite including the distribution of inserts
b) they continue to come up with fresh ideas
c) they get all there price points correct :ie $2.95/ $3.95/ $5.95
d) Album numbers reduced as well might help.
e) better marketing, as there are many posts above not knowing whats in the set.
Please listen ESP

Just providing some sort of way for regular collectors to actually buy this set probably wouldn't have been a bad idea ...

Agree on the marketing side of it, the checklist for this release seems to be some sort of state secret.

i think they can help collectors by just relinquishing the license and letting select have it back for whatever price they used to pay for it initially.

Five year gaps between decent Knight sigs with Select compared to three in one year from ESP - anything but going back to hopeless old Select please!!!
