I think you were probably a victim of searched boxes. It seems that the signatures were more often than not located at the bottom of a box. I personally pulled most of signatures from very random places in the boxes I bought from but the general theory was that the boxes were quite 'searchable'.

The point I was trying to make was the accessibility of the product to those who don't really collect hurt the hobby.

If the product was only available by the box or case then those who don't collect are unlikely to lay $130+ out.

If they could buy a few packs, jag a higher end hit (there was one in every box in 14 Elite) and flip it for $60 then it killed the overall value.

Signature cards numbered to #130 should not be selling for under $100. I enjoyed the extra availability but for the overall well being of the hobby I think this is a good option for higher end releases.

OK, got where you were coming from now. I guess the manufacturer's overlying concern is selling all their product, not so much how it is done.

I agree on the relatively low value of the low numbered cards. Then again, that makes it achievable for the few Master Set collectors still around!

Rocket, I can only agree, it seems like you were the victim of searched boxes - some here even boasted of doing it.

Searching, be it in a box or by a case, will always be and issue when limited number Inserts are involved. Back when you got a stick of bubble gum instead of an insert, it was NOT an issue!

From bits that I have heard there are no league sensations but I guess that won't be confirmed until release.

I would love Wighton as a YG for Canberra but he has already played 50 first grade games so that would surprise me.

From what I have heard you do have one of those YG's spot on!
 
If they're based of club award winners like last year, I think Souths will be Johnston. Even if they aren't he has the highest chance.

I also fear that we'll get Issac Luke as our LS. Personally I don't want that as he's leaving. Fingers crossed it's Reynolds or Stewart.

... Actually, maybe not stewart because he'll only sign 1. (ip collectors will get that)
 
I really hope they have LS. may be what makes me collect this set or not. I don't mind the above list but would prefer Taumalolo over Tamou, A.Rey over Luke and as Cronk thates signing so much, maybe Bromwich. Also thinking Ethan Lowe as Cowboys YG. Seggy LS would be awesome
 
i would love to have a semi radradra signature card but can't see him getting one probably be either tepai Moeroa or more preferably Manu Ma'u as Moeroa might not be there next year due to persuing his chance at shotput in the olympics
