Maybe I am missing something but isn't the cost to get the full set likely to be very similar even if there was less inserts, you just end up paying more for those less inserts don't you. E.g the select sigs while there tends to be more of each individual card the prices are much higher. I can see two differences though.

Granted 140-150 sp at 1:3 takes alot of packs to complete ( although they sell pretty cheap individually)

The other is now there is always higher end inserts for all teams with esp, so as a team collector in the select days you might of gotten off cheaper if your team never had any high end inserts.

So overall I don't mind the numbers although i do think the parallels are annoying with the same pics. Especially in traders this year the normal v special parallels are ridiculously similar for teams like penrith, warriors etc.

I wouldn't read too much into this. The Dr Jackal and Mr Hyde subset is clearly tongue in cheek in my opinion. There is also no mention of jersey cards and we are pretty close to 100% certain they are in the Elite line-up this year.

Secondly, if any of this information was right, someone is about to be fired.....

i know that sucked for knights fans, but with the way they were decided last year, it will more than likely be Scott. They start the set design around round 4 as well, which was before Scott announced he was leaving. So it'll more than likely be Scott.

IDK about Souths yet, our POTY was Sam Burgess last year, but he's gone so probably Issac Luke.
 
Dunno... Liam Fulton retired pretty early on last year. He was still our Sig card.
- Although, He was still in Sydney so a little easier to get hold of....

Like I said, the set was planned out before Round 4. I think that's before he retired. No chance of getting a Burgess signature because he's in the UK and not playing for Souths this year.
 
I don't think there will be League Sensations & Young Guns this year.

I have heard YG's will stay with a higher production run and be 1 per box like the Top Prospects were.

The higher end signatures were looking at jersey signatures for the top 8 last year (game worn) and then another limited release for non top 8 teams although I don't know if these will be signed

Well I'd rather have a Scott signature than no signature! :lol:

Hopefully the clubs that don't get a patch card still get a regular (non Young Gun) sig.

I would love to have a Semi radradra signature card for the eels

I was thinking about that, and I'm not really sure. Mullen, Gidley, Roberts, Rochow and Uate have all had signature cards in the past. Plus the Sims' in last year's triple sig.

So of the remaining semi-decent players, that leaves McManus, Leilua, Gagai, Snowden and Smith.

I'd probably prefer a Leilua or Gagai out of that lot, and being a Kiwi I'd be happy with a Jeremy Smith as well.

Surely Sione Mata'utia will be the Knights Young Gun.

on the other hand, elite seemed more miss than hit last year. For $6 a pack i found myself opening blank pack after blank pack after blank pack. The best thing I got was a Master and Apprentice.
Is it possible that they could do something like with this year's Traders and put at least SOMETHING in every pack?

we were opening completely different packs of cards. enjoyed elite
