1. Jeremy Lin is actually doing alright this year, I think he'd be a starter I fake ba wasn't in Charlotte.
2. He is becoming a more consistent player who has improved a lot from previous years.
In the few games of his I've seen, he has been a dominant beast on court, who was killing opposition centers.
From what I see, he's a black hole offensively (i.e., why the thunder are so much worse behind the arc and fail to get to the line as often) as the ball doesn't come out - see his below average assist numbers for a big man. On the other side he's a liability defensively. The only part of his game I believe is good is his rebounding. Yes he puts up big numbers, but does it help them win? Probably not. Kevin Martin is another guy like this - has always had big games but rarely has it helped his team win over the years.
Kanter with 33/20 in a loss to Portland.. Empty stats?
Now, consider that he plays a lot of his minutes against oppositions second units as opposed to starting units like he did in Utah - I fail to see how he warrants any consideration for 6th man (a role that is required to make a team better)
So every big stat line that comes in a loss is empty stats? Not sure that makes sense.33/20 and they lost? That kinda of adds to the empty stats case.
I think Kanter is solid and you take the good with the bad.

You want to see an empty stat, check out the leader in FG%. Never takes a shot outside 3ft yet they don't exclude them from the FG stats
The Thunder are like a 55 win team; I don't think you can apply that blanket statement of empty stats to a winning team on every loss they have. To me, you can only use that for a player putting up numbers on a team like the Sixers who aren't even competitive so they are getting them in garbage minutes. Kanter to me is a solid contributor off the bench on a solid team.33/20 and they lost? That kinda of adds to the empty stats case.

You might anticipate a win IF their starters were playing but Russ, KD and Ibaka had the night off. Anyway, the point was more that he had a monster game, unfortunately in a loss. And look I agree, Kanter may even get it, who knows. But posting that he got 33/20 in a loss really doesn't prove your point.
if a team gets 33/20 from someone off the bench, surely you're expecting a win right?
Of course you didn't say that... You implied it by saying that it was empty because the game was a loss. Garbage time is different. I didn't watch today, but I saw the score line a couple of time and it looked like OKC fought back to a 5 point marginsI'm not sure I said that. We're just talking about Kanter here right?
He gets mins in junk time right? They're empty stats.
you should be worried about getting that $20 ready for me for believing in the Rockets. Ha ha
Of course it matters. FG% is an accuracy stat. If you only dunk, it should be 100% or you have failed in life. And why would someone be penalized for taking field goals??? Doesn't matter if they're all dunks. Adam you're losing the plot man.

And yeah, I know your $20 is practically payable! lol
Now I'm just hoping Houston get 8th

It takes away from people like JJ reddick, Gordon Hayward and Kawhi you actually take mid range jumpers.
I would love to see Deandres season long shot chart LOL
If the MIP award is what Josh perceives it to be, than I reckon my prediction (Reggie Jackson) is spot on. He has made this a team that will almost certainly play in the playoffs with the help of Andre, and the Pistons have a bright future ahead of them.
A wildcard chance to upset the Warriors. No chance the Jazz of Mavs are going toHa ha, why do you want HOU to even get 8th? The less I see of Harden the better.

I can't stand Harden, so it feels odd rooting for them.
