Here is a dodgy one for you all. Seems this site is turning up a lot of these examples now.
I bought 22 Silver parallels off eBay 3 weeks ago. It was a random lot and i figured i may need a few to help finish off another set. I actually missed the end of the auction but nobody bid for them so i msg'd the guy and said i'd be happy to pay the starting price + postage for them which was $4.50 total. He said no probs and sent me his bank details.
Now at this point i knew i wasn't covered as there was no official eBay listing anymore and i was not using Paypal, but it was only $4.50 so i figured if i lose it it's no big deal.
1 week later i msg'd him to confirm he had received the funds. He replied and said Yes, i'm glad you msg'd because i need your address. I send back my address.
1 week later i msg'd him and asked if he had managed to send them out yet as i still haven't received them. He replied and said Yes, you should get them early next week.
Today (exactly 1 week later again) i receive a little white envelope in my mailbox. The envelope is from him and the envelope is empty
Like i said, i don't really care as it was only $4.50 but i can't figure out why he went to the trouble of responding to my emails and also spending 60c on sending me an empty envelope??? It wasn't officially through eBay or even Paypal, if he wanted to shaft me all he really had to do was ignore me?
