EBay Seller of the Month

Oh wow, thanks for pointing out the bargain, can't believe nobody's clicked on buy it now yet!!!

Seriously though, I actually remember that issue being pulled! It was a few days late because of it. I think the problem arose when Simon got charged with the tackle?

Well...it is a ONE OFF. I have a ONE OFF dog eared 1994 Mal Meninga. I may pop it on Ebay for $50 and try my luck. Hell, I have a tape of Lockyer when he spoke with his real voice. Not exactly one off, but some schmuck might buy the TDK Tape off me for a tenner.

Hmm so $100,000 is really only for the cover................the actual magazine content is exactly the same.

This guy goes in the running for the "EBay moron of the year" awards.

This is his response to the question, maybe someone should say, so you stole it?

Q g day , if they were never released how did you get one ???? dave 23-Nov-11 A:
I worked in the place where we printed the magazine and decided to take a copy home as in the four years i worked their i never heard of a magazine being pulled from the stands because of its cover and it seemed like a good oppurtunity to grab a copy and keep it as changing covers or changing headlines only usually happens when someone very important dies or a world changing event happens and it cost Big league at the time a lot of money around $500,000 at the time because as those magazines where just about to be transported out thats when us printers had to re-print the covers on the same day they had to be transported out so it was a very expensive exercise for Big League that week, and i knew it had to be worth something in years to come so i grabed a copy and kept it all these years waiting for lockyer to retire

Yes, i'm a fussy collector and must admit that i throw away half the cards i receive when i win 'bulk lot' auctions. Then i :swear: at myself for being stupid enough to bid for a bulk lot again. #-o

Geez - has someone left the door at the loony bin open. They are out at the moment.

The 1974 set has the initials PG on the top of each card. Obviously MINT!!

and postage is at buyers expense.........FMD

bbwwaahahahaha - loan to a museum. This guy needs a good slap.

That 1994 Series 1 Dynamic set would look great in its own display in the National Museum of Australia. Maybe next to the sacred aboriginal objects exhibit.

The thing I find funny is he stated no ridiculous offers. I would of thought a 30% cut in price would qualify as a pretty big price cut. Obviously he has no idea!!!! This clown is just guessing & a complete idiot!!!

I was gunna buy it, then i saw the postage... $10 ?!?!?!? WHAT A RIPOFF! Should be $5 or $6 tops. $10 is extortion.

I sent this message - he seems pretty adamant on those postage costs.

Dear danbenbay,

So your asking $100,000 pretty much just for a cover and you still want $10 for postage.....your kidding right?

Dear chickathecat,

Here is a dodgy one for you all. Seems this site is turning up a lot of these examples now.

I bought 22 Silver parallels off eBay 3 weeks ago. It was a random lot and i figured i may need a few to help finish off another set. I actually missed the end of the auction but nobody bid for them so i msg'd the guy and said i'd be happy to pay the starting price + postage for them which was $4.50 total. He said no probs and sent me his bank details.

Now at this point i knew i wasn't covered as there was no official eBay listing anymore and i was not using Paypal, but it was only $4.50 so i figured if i lose it it's no big deal.

1 week later i msg'd him to confirm he had received the funds. He replied and said Yes, i'm glad you msg'd because i need your address. I send back my address.

1 week later i msg'd him and asked if he had managed to send them out yet as i still haven't received them. He replied and said Yes, you should get them early next week.

Today (exactly 1 week later again) i receive a little white envelope in my mailbox. The envelope is from him and the envelope is empty

Like i said, i don't really care as it was only $4.50 but i can't figure out why he went to the trouble of responding to my emails and also spending 60c on sending me an empty envelope??? It wasn't officially through eBay or even Paypal, if he wanted to shaft me all he really had to do was ignore me?
