The sad thing is, legally, if she had of sent something that weighed 4.90 ounces... the scammer would have won that case. If you paid attention to the comments by Judge Judy the only legal fall back she had was item not as described in a weight sense... so Judy is right, that scammer really is stupid lol

I'm sure I read somewhere that the "fines" etc on Judge Judy are taken care of by the tv show. If that's true the scammer really has gotten away with it. Hope the IRS and Attorney General do take a closer look at her.

Even if the weight of the phone had not been listed, there is no way any right-minded judge is going to accept that someone should have to pay $500 for a couple of pieces of paper. Clearly a scam - caught out nicely!!
