Eaglemoss Indian Cricket Cards!!

Thanks for the elaborate explanation, which just means that no-one has to go hunting for them as their relevance now has no significance at all to my collection.
Or the information provided is wrong and at some stage the market will be flooded, like with Border holograms, and some people will try to make an obscene profit at some stage.
I don't think any Eaglemoss cards will be going to my 'pool room' fast, somehow the words of Michael Caton in The Castle are resounding in all of this.
This just reinforces the fact that I am happy to shop here and pay reasonable prices or trade with reasonable people, such as most at OCT. :kick:

No wrong information provided.I strongly believe genuine collectors are bidding at ebay and they have understood the real value. Most unlikely they will be ever flooded in market.Had it been so,every collector would have many Indian Cards in their collection.

Yep with you 100%!! Please do not think we are against Indian cards, we are only doubtful of the quality, and before you say anything against the quality of Australian cards i suggest you search back through the forum's and you we will see that we are just as critical towards our own card manufacturers.
More discussion is better for all of us in the long run!

I am not against any genuine collectables and for me condition is secondary,Important is avaiability. We few Indians know how difficult is such collectables in India. No point in dragging this discussion,as quality of this series is simply superb and valur for money.

with thanks to Howzat for sorting this one for me, managed to get Adam to sign it when he was at Middlesex this year

$150 ea is a little excessive in my humble opinion!

Prices are based on current realizations at ebay.In any case these are not available with any other sellers,as very very few have been procured and once sold it will not be available again, till a collector sells his collection.

with thanks to Howzat for sorting this one for me, managed to get Adam to sign it when he was at Middlesex this year

Looks great Alex - Still waiting on the $150 though :lol: And the signed Border I sent ya must be worth at least $200  Seriously though Alex great work and good luck with the rest mate ;)

I picked a few of these up earlier on in the year for $5 - $10 each and thought that was excessive, but wanted to check their quality and was chasing a Punter... The spike in value has come from player collectors IMO who want the individual cards at any cost, set collectors however will not pay those ridiculous prices and once the player collectors have the cards they want I think you will see the values fall to the lower levels they were at earlier in the year... Just my thoughts...

And India_Cricket do you realise you would have to send first on all transactions on this site anyway as your feedback is 0, unless you can provide your ebay ID with high feedback ;)

well i would be silly not to ask for the two Steve Waugh cards 97 and 286!! what are you asking for them mate?

---------- Post added 03-05-2011 at 07:45 PM ----------

Thanks for your private message but i don't think $200 each is a fair price!

It is a big boys' game now.You cannot carry-on by getting freebies!

Well mate i dont think anyone is asking you to give your cards away for free but no one here is prepared to pay the dollars you are asking. If you are such a big boy why dont you put your prices up fo everyone to see and see what response you get . Go on big boy i dare you :)

Well those serious about collecting, are buying indeed. It is not always $100+,there are few $'s each also.No point in blowing out of no issues.

India_Cricket,

As Nathraider says, if you are serious about your cards please do list the prices.
You are on a site for serious collectors who have indeed paid good prices for their cards.:D
Serious collectors aren't always in a position to pay significant prices either,
this does not dent their passion for collecting or make them any less serious about their collections.
What is significant is that they like what they collect, regardless of value, and their love of the game itself.
I do not see any feedback score for you, or evidence of any purchases from you, if you are on ebay can you please let us know to confirm some credibility.

Happy collecting to the genuine collectors out there,:D

regards Russell:thumbsup:

Hi Dan,

great to hear from you.
Below is the reply I got from india_cricket which leaves more questions than answers and lends no credibility to what has been posted.
I got a reply to my message and a heap of prices but when I asked about the ebay handle I got the response as below.
Checks of the numbers of transactions don't come up as they are old.
Take care and happy hunting OCTers

regards Russell

Agree with what you said in post 36 Russ

As for the ebay sales, from memory all of those prices actually seem correct for the last sales of those cards, mind you they were the last ones sold from another seller, sparkonian, who is the only one to have offered these cards for sale.

However these are the prices of the last sales, there were plenty of others of the same cards before these quoted prices and they went for much much lower!

Ricky Ponting - Rare Indian Cricket Card (#53) (#130418796219) AU $25.15

I got this for $6 and saw another one sell for $9... so average the 3 for a more realistic price

Adam Gilchrist - Rare Indian Cricket Card (#262) (#130389928295) AU $123.50

This one I got for $4.50 (in post 5) ended up giving it to alex for free and I saw others sell in the $7-$8 range...

There were heaps that sold for 99c - $2 as well, the prices listed are probably true because I remember about half of those and remember thinking what a laugh, but they are not a true reflection of the value of these cards IMO :)
