I have bought boxes but never cases....do you end up paying additional Tax when it's over $1000 do you?

Richo - you pay customs/duties/taxes when the declared price of the import is over $1000AUD including the shipping cost. Even if you send in two different shipments within a couple of days of each other, they will just combine the packages and slug you the fees :)

There are ways to work around this. One of them being marking the parcel with a declared value lower than the $1000 limit. Finding a seller willing to do this isn't always easy.

Mmm Interesting!
Thanks Graham

Ok, i've spoken to DACW overnight about this.

Basically, the deals that we get sometimes won't be exclusive to us. Sometimes it will be advertising the current eBay rate on product. HOWEVER there are bigger picture benefits to OzCards by buying through here and going through our rep Chris Soluri (the email contact on the first post) rather than through eBay.

As part of the sponsorship deal, DACW is giving OzCards a monthly credit in their store. I plan on using this credit by putting it towards a case buy or buying a box and giving it away to a lucky member. The more purchases made through Ozcards rather than eBay means we get more sales and we can negotiate ourselves a better credit, which at the end of the day means more free product coming our way! :)

I really think that we are going to be able to offer some awesome giveaways and prizes down the track with the support of everyone buying off DACW through the OzCards contact rather than eBay for your boxes and cases.

I will be working with them to try and get some exclusive pricing down the track for us.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers
Graham

Thanks for checking that out Graham. Look forward to seeing what they come up with for us in the future.

Is there a specific amount we need to spend to start getting more deals and credit? For example $100 store credit per $2000 spent or something like that?

Ryan

It really is a wait and see approach at this stage as I wasn't really sure what the support would be like. Looks like you guys bust more cases than I originally thought. As with all business, sales talk. We have already agreed we will revisit it after 2 months, review the support from OzCards and go from there :)

Glad to see you have got a reply.

I have been trying for about a week now to get a case break going and have not been able to get much info at all.

Be easier to just join in the case buys that get organised.

Should be some nice breaks coming.

If we wanted to buy boxes from DACW, do we email Chris Soluri and mention we are members of OCT, would we still have to go through their website to finalise any deals. Thanks.

So is it better if we get the details of cases, boxes that we are after and go through you personally, Or can we ourselves contact DACW via there email?

I would much rather bypass ebay and its added costs, Plus yes it will benifit OZCT in the sales area where DACW is concerned.

Only ask becuase i will be chasing a couple of cases in a few weeks.....

Sorry double post topic ^^^ beat me to it.....:P

Yep - just email Chris at csoluri@dacardworld.com as per the first post email for any orders or enquiries regarding product or shipping from DACW. I don't think you will need to go through the website to finalise the deal, but Chris will confirm this for you. And yes, please mention that you are a member of OzCardTrader.

Regarding the customs issues, please raise it with Chris when you email.

Thanks everyone!

Graham / anyone who can answer these questions:
1. Do you know if DACardworld are willing to do this? (Put the amount under $1000)
2. How much are the addition costs if it is over $1000?

I am looking at a case of a higher end product which will be over $1000 and I need to know what the additional costs will be.
Any help would be appreciated :)
Regards

PM sent back to ya mate!!!!

the case i just got for the case break they are changing the invoice

They stated that my case of Ultimate ($1416 USD) cost $640 on the customs form :)

Ryan

Two things come to mind reading this;

If for some reason your case was lost/stollen in the mail, would you be refunded the stated $640 amount instead of the actual value (I'm guessing the postal service would be liable with your package registered) and last but not least, should we be openly discussing customs fraud? Especially when it comes to our sponsors? I'm not sure how it all works, if no one has anything to lose then go right ahead. :)

I doubt the refund would be less then the invoice you would hold in your PayPal.
