Just wanted to say well done to the Hawks: what a huge performance. I along with most others tipped a Sydney win. But that was complete dominance on the big stage. Congratulations Hawthorn, and bring on 2015!

I sat through the 2002-2006 period when commentators and supporters openly laughed at Hawthorn. Alastair Clarkson has done a remarkable job with this football team, I for one had serious doubts about him when he took over the coaching job. In keeping with my many predictions this year, it shows that I know f**k all
As a dissapointed Swans fan, I can truly say that the performance today by the Hawks was one of the most complete and dominant performances I have ever seen in a Grand Final.
I have no doubt that they would have beaten any team they played today....they were just that good.
Congrats Hawthorn the well deserved Premiers for 2014.

Have you guys seen anyone named Lance Franklin? He was supposed to come to the Grand Final but he didn't show up, for finding him you get 10 million dollars over nine years.
For the entire week the media banged on about Franklin, Tippett and Reid.....yet Hawthorn's trio of Breust (my goodness that knee to the face could have been so much worse), Roughead and Gunston were fantastic. The tackling pressure of Hawthorn between half-forward and forward pocket was as brutal as I've seen from a Hawthorn team.
PS @Billyhoyle - a Hawthorn win is good for my heart, not my wallet!
So proud of the boys yesterday. That was one of the very special wins. And to do it against Buddy and Goodes, was just magic. Was some sweet revenge for 2012. It was nice to be able to actually enjoy the whole last quarter, and the boys never took their foot off the pedal, winning every quarter against a team more picked to win easy.
Well done to Hawthorn, watching the Grand Final yesterday only made me realize how far the rest of the comp is behind them in terms of aggression, strategy & overall consistency across the park.
As long as they realize the three peat won't be on offer, NicNat will fire next year after all.
