I've found the local post office always rips me off when I go there, so I always go to the local delivery center instead. Stuff gets where it's going quicker that way too.
Here's a tip too for people who buy their bubblemailers from Aust Post:
If you prefer brand new bubblemailers (I do for some reason), at 85cents a pop @ Aust Post is a rip off. Officeworks have them for almost 30cents cheaper (58cents). They are about the same size, when you compare them side by side, they are wider (from the open end to the closed end) and a bit smaller in height (top to bottom).
Officeworks Bubblemailers at about 98cents are absolutely huge! almost A5-A4 size, so I bet everyone gets the picture.
I will be stocking up on those big time in a few weeks for when I put more stuff on ebay to sell
If you are going to be using a lot of those bubble mailers, the cost dramatically reduces if you buy a box of 100 from australia Post.
I think it goes from 85 cents to about 35 cents per bubble mailer (ie the Box of 100 costs about $35).
What were the weight of the ones you sent?
The heaviest today (2 cards/3 top loaders) was 0.047kg.
I hate that 2 cm measuring thingy like Bargey mentioned! I actually went feral at the postie today! After he just casually said it was too thick. I said BULLS*IT and made a big scene demanding I check it myself. Sure it fitted just just just fine. My girl just stood next to me mortified! Looks like sex is out tonight
