I didn't contact the seller and tell him why until he contacted me. I didn't think 7 days would be too long since there was no timetable for payment.
I understand the risk of him sending me nothing but aren't I protected by ebay if he doesn't send me the item. And what would be a 'great price' for the card? Thank you.
Just got off the phone with ebay and they had said there were no technical difficulties that had gone on during any time of the auction and that I am entitled to the item since I won it and I have the right to leave the appropriate feedback. So it looks like he made it up to get more money.
Now I put a bid in with less then 3 hrs though, and when I checked in the morning I was shocked and excited because 1) I won the auction 2) I got it for cheap. But now because apparently ebay messed up I'm out the card.
Slightly ignorant comment there... it's now 7 days since he won the auction and he hadn't paid after 6. Most sellers will be reasonable with a timeframe, but why should they have to contact a buyer. I sold some cards for my mate. It has now been exactly 7 days. 7 items still have not been paid for. I have just filed non-paying claims for these 7 items. That's about the same timeframe as OP has received, and it's frustrating as a seller.
Nevertheless, it sounds like the seller wants more for the card and is talking BS.
Ignorant? Based on fact and auctions I've bid on. I've had sellers who filed comaints after 5 days, that's their choice and right, not that I agree with it. The guy is a tossed, period.

to be honest, your better off sucking it up and not risking your $265.
the seller doesnt HAVE to send your card.
he could just send you an empty mailer with DC. once you sign for it, he gets his money and you dont have a leg to stand on.
he could not send it at all and you have to go thru the bitch fight with paypal to get your money back.
good deal or not, just neg him and suck it up.
imo, i think its not worth $265, but thats me.
at this point thats what i'm thinking of doing. its tough for me to do though because i'm just starting my collection and this card i thought would be a great pc add but i guess i'll just suck it up and put that money towards other cards for my collection.
^^^ Kind of agree. I've bought a couple of lower numbered MJ patches with nasty patches in them for that sort of money.
Don't waste your time on it mate, just Neg him and find something else. I know it sucks but there's no point getting worked up over it. If it was something low numbered and you've been chasing it for years then thats a different story but im sure another will come up in no time
yeah i'll just do that but there is another one that is up for auction the only thing though is that its graded 9 and i have no problem with it being graded 9 i just don't like the case. so if i were to win that auction i would look up how to take it out of the case and put it in a one touch case.

Send it to Slobby, he'll have it out in seconds. Not sure on the condition it'd be in once he's had a go at it though
They are pretty easy to bust open, i've just used tin snips to crack the label end off (just the lip) then you just carefully use a flat head screwy and slowly crack around the edges till it pops open
