COMC Mailbox Thread

My last package just arrived, and it was slower than normal. Nowhere close to a month though.
Just arrived today. Said on the website - shipped on 17th. On my package says shipped on the 26th.
Every step seems to take two weeks minimum now. Last time I use them.

Getting pretty jacked with comc. Had to deposit funds ($30) to attempt to make an offer on a really over priced card. Deposited what I thought would be fair, discovered that the seller isn't accepting offers so I immediately withdrew my funds.

Got an email from Paypal overnight saying that they've only returned $11 of the $30 and remaining $19 I will still be billed even though I don't have the credit in my account.

I hate putting COMC credit in...

I especially hate when you want to ship, you have 5c debt and to pay off the debt, you have to insert $10 in

I can understand wanting customers to pay off debts, but forcing a minimum of $10 is silly, I agree. Just like you can't purchase a card at its listed price from your cart and have it put into your inventory - instead you have to have the nearest $10 amount so you have extra funds stuck in there, or in some cases being short of purchasing due to the extra $ even tho you have enough for the card itself.

Make sure you bring this up in an email because I've had them refund me costs before when they weren't able to send within their stated time-frames.

With comc now listing via consignment on eBay, if you happen to purchase a card and have it shipped to your comc mailbox what happens to the shipping costs?

Scenario being that on eBay you get notifications of cards being listed, you see it and you quickly buy.

Any word? I'm assuming they just put them towards their pizza party costs.

I have noticed that some of the sellers using the COMC consignment for ebay have a buy it now price that was the same as the price on COMC. If it hasn't sold for that price on COMC best of luck in trying to achieve that price on ebay.

Not even best offer option available

Not only that but any sale price isn't reflected in eBay. Why pay $120 for a Doron Lamb base card on eBay when it's 'only' $84 on comc directly?

Aren't these all on their site anyway?

Yeah they have basically spammed ebay with their inventory. Funny as a large portion of cards on COMC are overpriced (sellers fault not COMC) and now they are clogging ebay. As a seller what's the benefit? Your overpriced cards are now plopped into the real world where you can get the same sh!t for half the price. I think COMC be looking at flasher pizzas as I can't see who else benefits from it hahaha.
Personally it sh!ts me to have to get through hundreds of COMC cards to try and find anything new on ebay. If I want COMC inventory I will buy direct on there where you can at least make an offer. For everything else - ebay. I don't believe the 2 should have been blended.
Annoyed rant over.

Agreed. Nothing has annoyed my browsing more tonight than seeing hundreds of over priced cards at double market value clog up my searches.

If you have a comc acc why would you buy the stuff on ebay though ? Like I said you can't even offer on that stuff via ebay not to mention shipping! Seems a huge money spinner for COMC. Charge to receive, charge to consign, charge to ship and they charge to the new gourmet pizza shop spilling their bags of cash on the way. Plonkers..clever plonkers but plonkers none the less.

Ever made an impulse purchase without checking who or where? I have lots of times, especially if it's a really rare Faried. That's the only thing I'm thinking of since we don't know how long it takes to go live from the point of comc listing to appearing on eBay. If simultaneous then I could see myself doing it by mistake for sure.
