I have used them a few times and were very close at all times, once they graded it better then Beckett did but for most they were on the grade or Beckett graded it better then expected.
My two cards just finished getting condition reviewed by COMC. No email notification, slightly disappointing.
Anyhow, both "graded" as near mint-mint. High definition scans didn't offer much more insight, no more than what was shown on the original processing scans.
I've decided on sending both cards to Beckett (via comc) using the bi-monthly service, due back in February.
The only grading "breakdown" that COMC gave was a final condition. The grade that I was given was quiet literally "mint-near mint". Nothing else, no sub-grades, no bgs comparison. Just "mint-near mint".
I was actually pretty disappointed in the whole service. Wasn't even emailed to notify that the cards had finished review. I would recommended against doing it, and I won't be doing it again.
It's not so much the price which bothered me. More so the added week and a half of time to receive a simple "mint-near mint" with no notification of completion. Coupled with the "hi-res" scans that look no different to the original processing scans.
Can you perform a condition review on a card listed but you do not yet own?
There's a card I have my eye on, but if I got it I'd be sending it off for grading straight away. But don't want it to come back lower than expected because I can't actually see it first to tell what state its in?

I doubt if you'd be able to request a condition review on someone elses card. What if the card inadvertently damaged during the process? How would comc explain this to a the seller?
But yes, it would be nice if you could do this. Especially with the poorer scanned cards.

Yeah, this is a chrome card and scanned in its case, so im having a real hard time working out if the scratches are on the plastic or on the card itself.

I was going to suggest that you try and contact the seller to request a re-scan, or just to query the condition, but due to comc not allowing communication between members, the suggestion is mute.
Only other thing I could think of would be to contact Moe@comc directly, as Paparazzi suggested, and see if he can help remedy the issue.
Or, if you're a Blowout member, post a thread asking if the seller is a member there or if anyone knows how to directly contact them.
