Its a condition review and you only pay $2 gives you a pretty good idea whether to send it to bgs or not.
I have done about 12-15 cards and send about 7 of those to bgs and most graded were spot on or pretty close. One was lower and another higher.
It's not so much the price which bothered me. More so the added week and a half of time to receive a simple "mint-near mint" with no notification of completion. Coupled with the "hi-res" scans that look no different to the original processing scans.
Can you perform a condition review on a card listed but you do not yet own?
There's a card I have my eye on, but if I got it I'd be sending it off for grading straight away. But don't want it to come back lower than expected because I can't actually see it first to tell what state its in?
It does take a while for the condition review yes. Probably more than I would like too.
Not that I know of Josh as they need to see it in hand to give idea.
Oh I mean it's on comc currently, so they have it. Another seller has it listed for sale. But if like to know its condition before I buy?

I doubt if you'd be able to request a condition review on someone elses card. What if the card inadvertently damaged during the process? How would comc explain this to a the seller?
But yes, it would be nice if you could do this. Especially with the poorer scanned cards.
Yeah, this is a chrome card and scanned in its case, so im having a real hard time working out if the scratches are on the plastic or on the card itself.
