Seriously though....i predicted on 121s.com that the Pies would fade and it has started sooner than i expected. It had to happen eventually as most of their wins from the first half of the season came from bottom 8 teams.
If any Pies fans are looking for a band wagon to get on....the Dees wagon is in full flight....all aboard!!!!

the spoon isnt a big deal.. im sure the pies have 1 or 2 to their name.. we're going for history.. i mean we've broken history back in 2000, so why not get something now.. we're not going to get much more than that..
anyways.. spose all i can really say is if its 9th place or last place.. it'll be the same result, if not better due to nice draft picks..

I found this on another sports site (posted by our very own Billyhoyle) and just wanted to back up my point above....Collingwood are pretenders and with Eagles & Crows coming up soon they are going to go down hill fast...maybe even miss the 8!!
Mind you i wouldnt classify Geelong and Brisbane as serious contenders??

every team has its slumps as in the end their can only be one winner. Essendon won its last flag in 2000 and are the last vic team to win a flag so it hasnt been that long. The MIGHTY DEMONS havent won a flag since 64 which im not to proud to say but ill take our 12 premierships and hopefully we can end this drought this year or in the next few.
But when a club as big as the pies or bombers are down it is just common knowledge to kick them when their down
The Pies were a little ahead of themselfs, if you look at their victories they have all been against inconsistent teams with the only real notable being the bulldogs correct me if im wrong Kyle
The Dons played alot better than the Pies this week, i was quite impressed with their pressure they brought at every contested ball but hey it was in wet conditions.

yeah they won.. your right.. right place, right time , no injuries, right opposition, playing in melbourne leading up the the finals and the big one.. sorry, but i think the eagles are the power of years back.. finish on top, dont do too much come finals.. though i respect them.. and they made the finals pretty quickly, and they gotta great side.. i think the team that looks the goods are the crows.. i'll write them off forever if they dont win this year.. i also like the look of the dees.. the bulldogs also look good, but i think their depth will let them down..

Back onto the subject of Collingwood.........I'll be putting money on them to turn it around and beat my team (the WCE) this week because WCE are playing ^*&%
wether the Swans were lucky or not in 05 doesnt matter in the end there name is on the cup and at the end of the year you have the premiers and 15 losing sides.Realisticly the wooden spoon will get you pick 1 finishing 4th or 5th will get you a flip of the coin draft pick!
