With the forum starting to slip a little in recent times I thought I might try and bring back the community feeling that was once the driving block behind this great site. We are all passionate collectors but I feel at times we all get lost in worrying about our personal needs and miss the opportunity to make an impact on others collections as well. After all, no good deed goes unnoticed. By working together everyone benefits and our collections will start to take care of themselves!!
In particular, I have noticed that it is often the small inserts that some of us just can never bring in. You know the ones!! Those ever elusive golds or simple silvers that everyone else has lying around but no one can be bothered taking the time to do a complete trade for. Hell just looking at my trade list I have thousands of these small inserts that mean absoloutly nothing to me but a lot to someone else.
With this in mind I present to you the concept of "COLLECTIVE COLLECTING". Take notice though that this involves doing a good deed for another member and if you are just in this to be rewarded then this is not the thread for you!!
The concept is simple:
1: Look through the Wantlist Threads of fellow member and find some cards that they need and you have (value and amount of cards is up to you but I suggest maybe make it someone who appears to have nothing you need in return)
2: Send P.M requesting address
3: Send Cards to the Happy Member
4: Post Below the cards that were sent and who will be receiving and wait for karma to come back around.
SIMPLE AS PIE!!
Not only will this get people searching through wantlists (creating possible trades in the meantime) but hopefully it will start bring back that sense of community and build this site back to what it is really ment to be about!
I believe we can get up to 20 members involved so get the goodwill pumping and help out your fellow collector. After all, as mentioned Karma is a funny thing and I am sure you will find a member willing to return the favour sometime down the track.
I will start the chain off below by selecting a worthy member who I feel really contributes to the site in a big way. Refer to below in regards to how to post.
NOTE: KEEP THREAD CLEAN AND ONLY POST TO ADD CHAIN (EG WHAT CARDS AND WHAT MEMBER. DISCUSSION CAN BE DONE IN THE DISCUSSION THREAD.
