Celtics v Heat 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

been reading this thread for a while

i wont say that i'm either for or against lbj. but i think honestly he made the best decision to leave cleveland. he was there 7 years. had gotten to the finals in year 4. and saw the team that made it to that point slowly subside into phantoms of their former selves. KG was in minny for 12 years before jumping ship to the celts. if 7 years is not long enough and 12 is to long what is a sufficient amount of time to stick with a team thats not going anywhere fast

At least their 2 moves were brought on through desire to win a ring. would they of had a chance staying where they were honestly

If you condemn someone for a move why not one specifically based on money

Do people despise Carlos Boozer as much as lebron after he walked out on the cavs and signed with the jazz. maybe maybe not. noone ever gripes as he's no where near the player as lbj
or kenyon martin after he left the nets to join the nuggets after 2 straight finals appearances

or even the big diesel himself

Lebron 7 seasons with Cleveland
-- lost in the Finals once
-- lost in the East Finals once
-- lost in the East Semifinals three times
-- 2 time defending league MVP
-- No Championship
-- Left to join a team that won 47 games the season prior to his arrival

Shaq 4 seasons with Orlando
-- Lost in the Finals once
-- Lost in the East Finals once
-- Lost in the 1st Rd once
-- Swept three straight years
-- No Championship
-- Left to join a team that had won 53 games the season prior to his arrival

my conclusion

haters gonna hate

Sorry to say it but that is the dumbest thing anyone can say.

Sam Jones 10 rings. Michael Jordan 6 = Sam Jones must be better.

bill russell 11 rings sam jones 10 = bill russell better

FACT

lol

I'd argue that too. Kobe has helped his team to two championships. What has Lebron done?

How do you expect 1 man to win the team a champions ship? I'm a massive fan of Kobe but there is no way he could have one those 2 rings with the good players he had next to him, Who is the best player LeBron had at the cavs?

1 superstar DOESNT win championships....its a proven fact! garnett, allen and pierce couldnt, iverson with all his talent didnt, lebron got to the nba finals with a dud team as did iverson, as much as i love kobe he wouldnt have without some help, maybe we need to lay off lebron a bit and not be so hard on him becasue he wants to win! how many times has shaq changed teams? i love the big fella, but a superstar shouldnt have been on that many teams really, to me that takes away from some of his legacy....

I totally agree with your Shaq comments. I like him as a player but his decision to move from team to team makes me wonder why do it? He will probably say to me, who am I to care! hahaha

Enough talk ... 4 hours till Boston beats the hell outta Miami ! I'm gonna spray paint everything In my house green ! I bet the whole Celtic team Is watching Kazaam on VHS (old school) before the game ! Maybe some old school Shaq music !

Funny thread this - it's morphed into a Lebron/Kobe/MJ/KG comparison thread and they're never pretty!!

We've even had a taste of MVP controversy. I thought a 'KG wasn't the best player in 03-04' was gonna break out! Then a whole lot of Dirk/Nash don't deserve MVP's would've exploded!!!

Imagine if this series goes 7!!!

Been a bit busy at uni this week, so even if I taped it probably wouldn't have had afforded the 3 hours to watch it. Hope that didn't offend you

Fair enough..... not sure why it would offend me though!?

You mean the internet is not real life!?!?!?!?

Kobe 5 rings............ Lebron 0= Kobe >>>>>> Lebron

Man I laugh at the amount of times Kobe lovers like to use that argument when they wanna say Kobe is better than Lebron...... Kobe has been in the league for about twice the amount of time Lebron has, was brought into an already good team & has played with some all-star & HOF talented players....... little different situations me thinks.

I'd argue that too. Kobe has helped his team to two championships. What has Lebron done?

As above
