Yeh i second that Sonny, appreciate and give props out to those who traveled long distances and via many forms of transport to get to the show. Hope it was worth your time and effort.

The last show was at the beginning of this month, there will be another one next month... I am not sure we have trade nights or anything but trades can also go down in the shows.
 
Hey, as Brian indicated we in Sydney have monthly card shows with about 6-10 card dealers and heaps of card collectors like yourself under one roof, one month in western Sydney and the next month in inner Sydney and so forth. Here is the latest flier for the upcoming card show which is on Sunday 21 October at the Bat and Ball Club in Surry Hills/Moore Park.

I think it's great to have card shows near the city since it is a central location. But from what I saw last time out west, there seemed to be a lot more people attending, not sure if it was because of Father's day, but definitely higher attendance out west. I don't mind a drive out west once in a while to explore some new territories, breathe some fresh air...
 
Yeh variety is the spice of life. I like the west for the convenience as the west is geographically more central than say the city is. But the city is easier to get to for most people in Sydney. Im glad we do the shows in this rotation, west one month and then city the next month.
 
bring the show out my way haha, then i can get there in between my split shifts :P. Nah.. not many people would want to travel out near the mountains.
 
isn't there a bigger show coming up at parramatta??

i can't make the october one, but will try for the one after that as my boys want to finish off there footy card set:thumbsup:
 
Cheers West mate... And what is the deal, is a trade and show night?
Am I able to buy straight out singles aswell mate or just packs and boxes? Would I bring all my cards that I want to trade, and can I sell aswell?
Also would I bring cards that I just want to show?
Would you take real high end cards to this type of show?
Sorry for all the questions guys.... I've never been to 1 before and I thought I was 1 of the rare few the collected here in Aus. Before I found this place! I know very naive, but I am a coasty!


By the way it's a monster mission to get there for me. But I will not miss it, if it's worth it!
 
Oooh this thread has become quite lively of late :)
Mounties is great for the whole family, and the food options are brill.
Ben you should come down the M7 to the Mounties show it will be good to catch up with you and finally put a face to the name :)
There is a show in parramatta but thats for star wars collectables. Not cards like us cool dudes collect :P
Hads, with the card show we have every month, its a 10am-3pm thing, so its during the day. You can trade or purchase singles, sets, boxes, and supplies. I will have a lot of boxes and supplies so you can get some stuff off me and Sonny will be there and a couple of others. And heaps of other collectors will be there so you can trade with them so definitely bring your trade bait as well as any cards you want to show off :)
PS yeh i realise that you would have to drive a bit and we would appreciate that as well. Others have and will continue to travel far distances to the shows from such exotic locations as Brisbane and Canberra :)
 
Cool, thanks West mate. Appreciate the details. Not to sure about the next 1 at Mt Pritchard. I'm not to sure where Mt Pritchard is. Glad I have my satnav!
